2. Oriental Mindoro - my dad's home, i love their beaches
3. Batangas - kapeng barako is always on my list.
5. Laguna - i simply love their buko pie
6. Cavite - few relatives are living there. Aguinaldo's mansion is a must visit.
7. Quezon - i don't remember anything coz i'm still a child when we visited some relatives there.
8. Rizal - just a few minutes jeepney ride away. very accessible to our home.
9. Bulacan - i went there for our urban planning studies. i love their chicharon.
10. Pampanga - i also went there for our urban planning studies.
11. La Union
12. Ilocos Sur - we toured Vigan (calle crisologo, several ancestral homes and many other tourist spots). tried their empanadang vigan and famous longganisa.
13. Ilocos Norte - toured the famous pagudpud beach, paoay church and many other landmarks, the windmills and lighthouse (i forgot their names). shopped pasalubong in pasuquin.
14. Nueva Ecija - for our urban planning studies
15. Tarlac - also for our urban planning studies
16. Metro Manila - my homebase

Ahhh, so is that why Zamboanga City was never a provincial capital of Zamboanga del Sur? kasi during my elementary days I always thought Zamboanga City as capital of Zamboanga del Sur :)

Yet political divisions are there as categorized as provinces, not regions. If we refer to ZamPen, therefore we should also refer to Davao provinces as Davao Region, Soccsksargen, Western Visayas, etc. The title of this thread does not follow. 2. Zamboanga del Sur _ Frequebnt Business transactions in Margosatubig,had youth Camp in Tambulig (apparently passing Molave) and more.
3. Zamboanga del Norte- Visited relatives in Calawit.
4. Misamis Occidental - Frequented Ozamis
5. Lanao del Norte - Frequented this province and Iligan City (visiting friends) on the way to Bukidnon.
6. Misamis Oriental - Frequented CDO while in Bukidnon, frequently visiting friends in Naawan, Gitagum, Manticao.
7. Camiguin - Our favorite north side excursion destination.
8. Bukidnon - Went to college at Mountain View College (alternating work and school) 1995-2003.
9. North Cotabato - Spent some overnights in Kabakan on the way to the south.
10. Maguindanao - Had some stop ever in Datu Paglas (our tour mini-bus was once held by Police aka extortionist in this town ca. 2000) and Buluan.
11. Sultan Kudarat - Aside from Tacurong being the transport exchange point from NorMin to SouthMin I had vacation with friends in Isulan.
12. South Cotabato - My second hometown (or so I thought in early 2000). But in fairness aside from Davao City, South Cotabato is our favorite south bound excursion destination (our big boss (then) comes from Koronadal).
13. Sarangani - Obviously, when you travel Gensan-Davao will stop over Malungon.
14. Davao del Sur - Visited a couple times SPAC in Matanao. Currently working and living in Davao City.
15. Davao del Norte - Traversed through this province along with ComVal while traveling from Butuan City to Davao City and vice versa.
16. Compostela Valley - same case as DDN.
17. Agusan del Sur - Alternated work in Bayugan (met some relatives here) and Butuan City in 2009.

Unlike Gensan, CGY, or DVO which can be accessed within 3-6 hours apart with many alternatives, I find it quite difficult to get to Zamboanga due to distance and being at the far end of the peninsula. From Pagadian to Zamboanga, it'll take at least 6 hours...from Gensan, overnight by ship. It doesn't even have a direct flight from Iloilo yet.

yeah thats the one. I took the opportunity to travel first The Palawan, The Visayas and The land of promise-mindanao. Maybe because Fare then is pretty affordable.

Then Luzon, when I was in manila.. And Batanes is where I always dream to go.

Added to my work and the love for knowing more about the place.. It not that hard to travel as long as you put time and effort on doing it..

There are far more places here, that we can be proud of as Filipinos, for the Filipinos, by the Filipinos.. Even Negros still surprises me after all these years..
