View Full Version : World's second tallest building in Nhatrang
vietboi August 13th, 2005, 02:57 AM The world's second tallest building is underconstruction in Nhatrang. The proposal took 7 years to get approved and the construction is currently underway. When it was first proposed 7 years ago, the building was supposed to be the world's second tallest. But i think now it's 5th or 6th tallest. To be built by Korean company. That's all i know for now.

Anyway, why I'm currently in Saigon and don't know any information about that. And the local newspapers don't mention it.
I don't think this project exist.
phamAnhh August 14th, 2005, 04:54 AM It would be awesome if the world second tallest is in Vietnam.
ncon August 15th, 2005, 07:55 AM so confused Dubai Claimed to be World Tallest and 2nd tallest building ??
btw good news for vietnam :)
Almenac-SS August 15th, 2005, 08:01 AM the korean company thats building the world's tallest building in Dubai is Samsung..
which korean company is building the world's 2nd tallest building in Vietnam?
BTW, i thought the world's 2nd tallest building was going to be the Lotte Tower 2 in Busan, South Korea....
are you sure this building is going to be the 2nd tallest?
Saigoneseguy August 15th, 2005, 08:35 AM Tell me this is not a joke, send me that link and I'll slap myself inmediately and repeatly.... >:p
Trân August 15th, 2005, 09:41 AM It is a joke. Nhatranh is a minor town in VN
coolink August 15th, 2005, 06:11 PM the tallest now is the Taipei 101 or the petronas or the Sear tower in Chicago?
so doesn't matter which, the second tallest should exceeded one of the above which should be 100 storeys more or less.
I think this boy is mistaken, it should be Vietnam's tallest instead of world's tallest.
so Saigon Trade is 33 storeys tallest in Vietnam, the second tallest should be 30 something, that makes much more sense.
and why would they built a second tallest tower in a fishing village nha trang when Saigon and Hanoi are in great shortages of office spaces?
SeeMacau August 15th, 2005, 07:12 PM i remember someone post before there's one building under construction in Nha trang which is 30+ storey, so is it the one u talking about?
Blue_Sky August 15th, 2005, 07:15 PM haloooo...
where the thread starter now???
lovesaigon August 16th, 2005, 04:53 AM exactly 30 storeys, I said.
Þróndeimr August 19th, 2005, 11:39 PM But why use images of Burj Dubai in Dubai? Isn't it supose to be the second tallest in Vietnam?
And for those who don't know (they should know), the tallest skyscraper in the world is Taiper 101, fallowed by Petronas Tower 1 and 2, Sears Tower, Jin Mao Building and Two International Finance Center.
skynet126 August 20th, 2005, 12:05 AM vietboi must read a wrond newspaper, nobody would build a world second tallest buildiung in nha trang because nha trang is comprise more as a tourism hub than a industry boom hub
SacTown916 August 20th, 2005, 03:58 AM :eek2: The next world tallest skyscraper might be Fordham Spire in Chicago, USA!
If Fordham Spire get approve, it will be 2,000 ft tall! The tallest in the world! :bash: :grouphug:
Hmmm... I don't think they will built that building in Vietnam. I'm pretty sure I've seen that project in another country! :drunk:
malec August 20th, 2005, 04:02 AM If Fordham Spire get approved, it will be 2,000 ft tall! The tallest in the world! :bash: :grouphug:
:drunk:
You mean 2nd tallest I presume ;)
Chad August 20th, 2005, 02:45 PM He might confused between Natrang and Dubai..:)
The name is quite similar...
Baria August 20th, 2005, 07:53 PM Hi everyones,
I'm new to this exciting forum. Seeing this building going up in Nha Trang, if it is true, made me proud.
Remember, the contractors and sub-contractors are Vietnamese. I don't think the Korean will bring everything, workers and equipment, to Vietnam to do the job, then take them back!
:)
two3toes August 20th, 2005, 08:20 PM The picture is Dubai world's tallest building. Nha Trang might build Vietnam's second tallest building after the Bitexcoland Tower. I'm skeptic that they would build anything over 100 stories high in this decade.
coolink August 21st, 2005, 08:18 PM I hate to admit but that's Dubai tower
Nha Trang however should have 5 tall buildings underconstruction now on the harbourfront right?
never been there myself but saw photos
