شركات كويتية تسعى لتأسيس بنك تجاري* ‬إسلامي* ‬في* ‬البحرين

قالت مصادر صحافية إن شركة الأولى للاستثمار الكويتية أصبحت تقترب من إنهاء إجراءات تأسيس* »‬البنك الإسلامي* ‬التجاري*« ‬في* ‬البحرين*.‬
وأوضحت المصادر لصحيفة* »‬الرأي* ‬العام*« ‬الكويتية أمس أن ثمة تحالفا* ‬يضم شركات محلية ومستثمرين خليجيين سيتملكون نسبا متفاوتة في* ‬هذا البنك*.‬
وذكرت على سبيل المثال شركة الاستثمارات الوطنية التي* ‬ستستحوذ على حصة تصل إلى *٥٢ ‬في* ‬المئة من أسهم البنك وبنك بوبيان الإسلامي* ‬الذي* ‬يستحوذ على *٠٢ ‬في* ‬المئة وشركة بيت الاوراق المالية بنسبة تقدر بـ *٠١ ‬في* ‬المئة*.‬
وأشارت المصادر إلى ان الشركة الأولى للاستثمار التي* ‬ستتولى إدارة عملية الاكتتاب ستتملك نسبة تفوق الـ *٠٢ ‬في* ‬المئة،* ‬فيما لفتت المصادر إلى ان سعر السهم سيكون بحدود الـ *٠٠١ ‬فلس بالاضافة إلى علاوة إصدار تتراوح ما بين *٥ ‬إلى *٠١ ‬فلوس مؤكدة ان الشركة الاولى ستجني* ‬من خلال هذا الاكتتاب أرباحا تفوق المليوني* ‬دينار كويتي* ‬والتي* ‬ستدرج بطبيعة الحال ضمن نتائج الربع الثالث*.‬

can someone tell me how an islamic bank works as i understand islam doesnt allow the the payment of interest.

Okay,

Islamic Banks enter Trades in commodities and then sell these at a profit.

Then the Islamic bank shares these profits with the investor.

If the Bank lose money, the customer will lose his money ( no protection of capital ) .However, these banks do secure transactions.

These days Islamic banks are in the Real Estate business, they are very profitable in the Gulf due to R.E boom.

BFH, Durrat alBahrain, Alareen, Twoseas, are all financed by Islamic Banks.

i see... sounds much riskier than a western bank where your money isnt really risked. i guess islamic banks are what we call investment funds.

Not risky at all, i can guartee you that they have all the tools to hedge the funds.

and most banks deal in real estate, the latest was Citigroup.

about the trade mechanism, its safe as well because they sell commodities in spot. i.e they enter the transaction once they know they have a buyer. they buy you the commodity and take a profit. customer then pays in installments.
