View Full Version : Shiny white highrise
Vertigo August 14th, 2005, 08:22 PM In order not to make it too easy I wiped out the numberplates of the cars. And yes, I do know the answer to this one, in contrast to the other GTC I posted today. ;)

Vertigo August 14th, 2005, 11:04 PM No right answers so far.
One hint: Anz chi boi has made a good observation: Toyota is doing good business in this country. I would guess more than 75 % of the cars in this country are Toyota's.
Another hint: there are quite a few muslims in this country.
Forza Raalte August 15th, 2005, 12:07 AM Saudi-Arabia? :jk:

Azn_chi_boi August 15th, 2005, 02:27 PM UAE(dubai) they are rich enough to have toyotas cars all over the streets...

AcesHigh August 15th, 2005, 06:06 PM not Brasil, or there would be more variety of cars and also compact cars. People... notice there is ONLY ONE TYPE OF CAR IN THE STREET!!! Find a country where thats the only car sold... or more probably, the only car factory in the country.
Lembit August 15th, 2005, 08:54 PM Pakistan?
Vertigo August 15th, 2005, 09:26 PM Find a country where thats the only car sold... or more probably, the only car factory in the country.
I don't think there's a Toyota factory in this country. Toyota does have an incredibly high market share though. Perhaps this helps a bit: while in the city most of the Toyota's are luxury sedans, out of town most of the cars are Toyota Landcruisers...
Renkinjutsushi August 15th, 2005, 09:31 PM Cambodia?
Muyangguniang August 15th, 2005, 10:00 PM China!!!
Vertigo August 15th, 2005, 10:26 PM In China they drive on the right side of the road. :) Once again, you're all thinking in the wrong direction.
Küsel August 16th, 2005, 12:27 AM How can it be wrong, if all the left-driven countries were already guessed (Asia, Middle East, Africa and the ones in SA)???!!! This is for sure not UK!
Muyangguniang August 16th, 2005, 12:30 AM South Afrika?

MSPSCO3113 August 16th, 2005, 01:04 AM Its Thailand right? Although most Thai are Buddhist.
Azn_chi_boi August 16th, 2005, 03:39 AM Myamaar(Burma) or Bangladesh
Lembit August 16th, 2005, 03:41 AM East Timor or Bangladesh are the only left hand driving muslim countries left.

Küsel August 16th, 2005, 10:03 AM Yep, I think now we guessed everything. The only possiblity is that he flipped the pic!
Vertigo August 16th, 2005, 10:13 AM No, I didn't... :) Let me give another hint: the name of the city means something with "peace" in it.

Vertigo August 16th, 2005, 05:06 PM Dar es Salaam has its fair share of highrises BTW, and generally it is a pleasant town. In a few days I'll post some pics I took there.
