This is the 2nd city youve profiled that Ive lived in! Cool. The people in Porto Alegre are pretty sophisticated. There could be some newer towers but I love the citys density and urban feel. I give it a 7.

I like it a lot because of the wall of buildings by the river. Cool!

Porto Alegre is, along with Curitiba and Florianópolis, the best capital city to live in Brazil.

I had never seen any pic from POA and it looks nice, street level pics would own and yeah, it lacks some towers, but let's give time to the time :D

Pros: Nice height for a South American city, and its pretty dense.

Cons: The architecture really blows.... look at all of those blocks!

Overall: 6.0/10

9/10 My city, my home. The downtown looks like São Paulo, 8x smaller :) I love the historical buildings mixed with the glassy ones.

actually, in most american metros, the cbd is rarely the largest business district ... just the oldest and most dense, usually ... the bulk of american office space is to be found in low and mid rise office parks in the suburbs.

but since we are talking about skylines here, I meant that the skyline and cbd of the "suburbs" is not far behind that of the central city.
