Thanks for the nice pics, some unusual ones in there. I love Victoria, I used to live there, but now it's been way too long since I have visited.

What a beautiful city! Ive only been there once, and that was far too long ago. For a city it's size it has a nice looking Chinatown, and some pretty decent pedestrian volumes downtown.

Wow amazing pics. Victoria is one of Canada's nicest cities, the best of cities with a population between 200,000 and 500,000.

Great pics, I'm glad you had a good time here.

^ ^ Well it is a different city, and different metro, although the whole province did used to be run by the same transit authority.

Hello!!

Gutooo, I used to live two blocks away from you, on Neil street @Richmond. I actually remember meeting a brazilian guy at the busstop one time, I talked to him for awhile. I wonder if that was you?

Anyways, I love these photos, every single one of them brings back some sort of memory of this city that I love. I must point one thing out..

I can understand why there would be camera crews filming this accident with the orange VW van. I swear to god Victoria has the largest concentration of orange VW vans around, I once lived on a block that had 4 of them! SO I could see how an accident involving one would be "big news!". :)

That's one Canadian city I haven't been to yet...judging from these pics, I'm kinda scared to - because I may not want to leave.

Thanks for sharing.

Great pics... small correction... it's the Legislative Building ;) Parliament is in Ottawa. But it is a Lovely building, as are most of the Provincial/Territorial Legislatures.

True that officially it's called the BC Legislature but traditionally and currently the buildings themselves are known as the Parliament Buildings. I and most people I know that live in southwest BC call it PB. The government in fact use the term Parliament Buildings in their addresses. Here's an example -

Cool pics btw! I'll be heading over to Victoria tomorrow and will hopefully get some great shots.

I think it probably has to do with when VI and BC were Crown Colonies. The name just sort of stuck. Although they built them after Confederation. Hmm I'll have to try and find out the exact reason. Should be a bit of a task.

I hopefully will be able to if I get a couple of hours. I'm going over for a family event that is not of the happiest occasions. I reckon if I do then it will be downtown as I have to pick up my favourite tea from an import shop. It's vitally important for my existance.

pg tips tea - pyramid bags of course
