RIJEKA
Rijeka, or "River", is Croatia's third largest city and principal Adriatic seaport. It is one of the least diverse cities in Croatia with a full 81% of the population declaring an ethnic/religious identity Croat.
The city attracts a lot of tourists, but it is much more than a tourist center. It's main industry is ship building, and it boasts two state-of-the-art ship manufacteuring and outfitting facilities.
It has one of the oldest theatres, and one of the oldest universities, in Southeast Europe.
Enjoy!

PULA
Pula is the largest city in the Istria region of Croatia. Like Rijeka, it does it's share of ship building but Pula is also known for its wine.
Around the world, Pula is more recognized for it's Roman coloseum, however, this is just one of several thousand documented Roman sites and artifacts in the city.
A full 30% of Pula's population is non-Croat, making the city one of the most diverse on the Croatian coast. Among the languages you can expect to hear spoken in Pula are German, Hungarian, Italian, and dialects of the Croatian language that mirror modern-day Serbian and Bosnian. All these groups have lived in Pula for decades, often centuries, so their contribution in terms of architecture, slang, culture, and so on makes Pula compare to cities like Sarajevo and Jerusalem in terms of offering a little bit of everything.
