Rothschild Blvd is a known street in Tel Aviv, and is home to Israel's first skyscraper, the Shalom Meir Tower, though it's near it, not on it.

You're going to build skyscrapers in this area, that's why you don't renovate the buildings? You'll demolish them and build skyscrapers in the future?

messiah, some skyscrapers take on themselves to renovate the exterior of lowrise historic international style buildings, or they build on top of them incorporating them inside which is very unique.
see leumi bank hq for example:
http://www.emporis.com/en/il/im/?id=231168

A lot of controversy is on this type of restoration because it looses the character of lowrise historic streets with sporadic towers but it also means the restorations are done very good with a lot of money that wouldnt be there if it was private residents.

so it is a compromise, but a lot of the buildings that need renovation wont be renovated because economically it is cheaper to tear them down when the market will need more space and build from scratch, also old buildings close to noisy highways arent in demand so they get neglected, and tel aviv is so close to teh sea with humidity and rust that you have a lot of buildings deteriorating very fast.

Why not? In any case, it's probably not the entire building, just a bunch of floors they're renting.

I didnt even know HSBC did business in Israel. I think maybe only with very rich selected private-banking clients.

The most proper way to describe it would be the poor,ultra-religious borough of tel-aviv.

Well my customer has a factory there in Bnei Brak. I thought Nahalat benjamin is the textile quarter not gay. Or textiles make gay in Israel ? :)

ZOHAR
