Yes of course. From what i've seen for now in those unurban photo contests, i think a lot of the pictures are better quality than in the upc. I have been searching for such a contest over the internet, now i found one on my favorite site. Please keep it here!

I like the idea, and Jan sure that thinks the same, that's because of he some weeks open this subforum. But it's a lot of work.

While I'm not a regular participant in the photo contests, the idea of an "un-urban" contest strikes me as excellent. :okay:

Why? It would open up possibilities to show their work for so many forumers who live in smaller cities or in rural areas. How often have I seen a perfectly lovely photo put down with the comment: nyah, not urban enough! :down:

So if Jan is is willing to handle it, I'm all for it! :cheer:

I hope to present more of my unurban photos, so we sure need one. Not much else to take photos of than unurban thing around my little village afterall! ;)

You are precisely the kind of forumer I had in mind when I wrote my first post in this thread, Christian. :)

Needed for a couple reasons. First, not everyone on this forum lives in an urban area or even near an urban area. Second, it shows that SSC is not just a skyscraper forum. I love skyscrapers as much as anybody, but you can't photograph them or look at photos of them all the time. Sometimes you want to see what other creative people can do with a camera and a little image manipulation software.

There are other forums out there for nonurban pics contests and review. Better keep to the 'core business' here. Though a nonurban contest once in a while is okay.

we need it to be a weekly thing. Not a once in a blue moon type deal.

since this is a GENERAL photography forum we need a GENERAL photography contest which the unruabn contest is. Personally I prefer it to the UPC.
