I am glad that the entire skyline is so visible cos I was fortunate enuf to see KL Tower and PTT grew! And of course I always insisted sitting by the window! :D

The best part is that BAM Villas is kinda safe cos the few parcels of land immediately in front are schools and beyond that is the Royal Selangor Golf Club. So all of those are not gonna block yer view :D

Any time soon since i'm in KL, hafta manage my time properly first, hehe. Anyway, i'm planning to meet TYW and Pablo when i'm on my sem break this yr end.

Hahaha.......if you've been lurking the forums long enuf you'll know that after 3 years only I've released a list of forumers I've met. Previously only those whom have met me knew I've met em hehehe :lol: .....at least I release my 'list' in a more comprehensive manner than Miti hahahaha :D Actually I am not even too sure if some forumers are happy with me over revealing the 'list' ;)

Most of the meetups are usually like meeting up friends....talk about anything under the sun. Ask the forumers whom have met today and they would tell ya that we talk and talk from 7pm till 11pm!!! :D And VERY NICE meeting all of ya :okay:

Others I brought em around Klang Valley. Usually these are outstation or overseas guys. A forumer from Australia (you know who you are) have my itenary changed a bit so I had to slow down when approching girls :lol: I also have to locked my windows when approaching school buses with girls hahahaha :lol: ( see post #276 for hint :D )

Then there's the satay.:D Today we got to eat free cake courtesy of Rembau hehehe :D And we've also eaten a host of things for meetups cos as Malaysians, most of our meetups schedules includes FOOD :D Today's meetup was a buka puasa meetup and we had out dinner at the KL Convention Ctr foodcourt ;)

So far very little mamak sessions with forumers but I am looking for more ;) I am a die-hard mamak kaki whom knows most big and famous mamaks hahaha :D

Some forumers are kaki-photography which I am also one. So I could just go around taking pictures with em. :)

But the best of all is that I know I've got FRIENDS all over the world and I am really glad I knew all of em :grouphug:

Not really, I do have university breaks but this is not my idea of a "holiday". If this was a holiday its seriously taking a toll on me, I'd need a holiday from the holiday. I'm going off from Brisbane to meet someone in Europe, journey time to my destination from Brisbane is 43 hours. I'm actually sending this message from inside the international terminal at Sydney airport, I'm transitting Sydney for 6.5 hours. The marathon leg is coming up next, 23.5 hours from Sydney to Vienna with a 1 hr fuel stop in KL, then more additional transitting at Vienna Airport to catch a connecting flight, whilst having a meeting with someone there. Then there's the Jet lag, its close to the other side of the world from where I am. Sigh, I get tired when I think about whats ahead. Close to 2 days of not showering, sitting around airport terminals, sitting on uncomfortable airline seats, all alone. I do this about every year, I am exactly where I am the same time last year, I should've gotten used to it, but damn it is seriously hard on the body (the fatigue) and the mind (the jet lag).

To answer your question, no its not a holiday. If it was a holiday no one in their right mind would be following my flight schedule. I'm on this trip because somewhere up the ladder of a certain office machinery had presented this journey for me, its either this or a BNE-BKK-MUC set of flights which would have shortened the journey. The problem with this blissful arangement was that I couldn't get into Vienna in time for a meeting, who's fault was that, someone at the office didn't check a ticketing order that was sent out a month ago, so they booked the ticket last minute! I guess I shouldn't complain, its not my dollar.

What's the turnaround time? If it's a business trip (as I gather it is), they won't even let you relax and enjoy Europe a bit ... they'll make you take that mentally and physically taxing journey back to Brisbane as soon as the business part is over. :bash:

Besides, this isn't the nicest time of the year to go to Europe ... nasty weather and flight delays. On the other hand, the cities are all decked out for Christmas, so at least there is *one* bright spot to your ordeal. :)

I mean back in the 60's we had the concorde and instead of progressing to faster and faster jets we have dumped it altogether and we are stuck with the same old slow poke airplanes! I hate long flights too - the worst is KL to US east coast. Can be 20-30++ hours so I know how you feel. Business class should be made mandatory for these long haul flights!

Yeah......sucks isn't it? And the worst part is that the Concorde had retired :cry:

My longest flight was KL-Taipei-LA-Orlando and with 4 hours of transit at Chiang Kai Shek Airport and another 2 hours at LAX..........all together about 30+ hours!!! :dizzy:

Then a week later it was Orlando-St. Louis-Vancouver and that isn't too bad ;) But just a day before returning to KL from Vancouver......I was having this minor phobia of flying hehehehe cos it would be another lonnnnngggg Vancouver-Taipei-KL flight! :puke:

i see. do u read russian? i studied german and although it is supposed to be similar to english it gave me nightmares because it has 4 cases (english has only 3) not to mention nouns that have genders. And russian is supposedly much harder than german with 11 cases! I don't think i can manage.
