^^ Well, let's hope they get the F-35, which can vertically take off and land, for the RSAF. Heard the military budget has been increased again. :)

Paya Lebar is used by plenty of other planes, not just fighter jets. Even if F35s replaced all the fighter squadrons stationed there, RSAF still uses transport/tanker planes, USAF lands there often and several jetliner maintenance companies are based there anyways..

^^ Oh, I know about that. Would not elaborate further so as not to get into trouble.

I copied and pasted the source from Wikipedia. Apparently it has been altered

^^ Well, hopefully it is true. There is also a possibility that they could build taller skyscrapers elsewhere on the island like Jurong East, Woodlands or Tampines. Just my opinion......:)

Erm... Tampines has even stricter height restrictions due to the presence of the airport nearby... That's why Tampines Regional Centre will never reach the level of economic importance of Jurong Gateway or Woodlands Central in future, literally. As for Jurong East and Woodlands, I don't think we'll ever see skyscrapers breaking the 245m barrier but I'm sure these places will eventually have some form of skyline.

^^ You have a point. I just can't find anywhere in Singapore that is viable for a skyscraper that is more than 280m. The island is just too small. Any ideas?

There may be a height limit at Jurong Gateway too. Tengah Airbase is nearby. :(
