Nah weren't me. I dare say there's a fair few fat greasy long haired clowns trying to dance in there. I vowed never to go again a long while ago. Nice to see your mug around.
Hello Rigadon  didn't notice you there.
Yeah, where's mk gone?
Biosonic September 6th, 2005, 10:14 AM Dear old Bio :(
I'm alive and well
Smileyface September 6th, 2005, 10:55 AM MK has been quiet for ages, I think he started a new job or shift pattern or something. Hoody has never been the same since he started that job in West bromwich...as in he stopped posting all together!
birminghamculture September 6th, 2005, 01:40 PM West Bromwich does bad things to you. I would'nt be suprised if his been kidkanpped by some Albion fans with feather dusters
Smileyface September 30th, 2005, 10:40 AM MK61 has gone very very quiet
Blunther September 30th, 2005, 11:02 AM He's dead and buried :(
Shame, he were a nice chap.
Biosonic September 30th, 2005, 12:35 PM BC's disappeared too...
Smileyface September 30th, 2005, 12:38 PM BC's been missing for a couple of weeks so he might have gone away or got a bust computer but MK's been away for what seems like ages
morestoreysplease October 1st, 2005, 10:40 PM How about texting MK?
hoody October 14th, 2005, 12:53 PM MK has been quiet for ages, I think he started a new job or shift pattern or something. Hoody has never been the same since he started that job in West bromwich...as in he stopped posting all together!
Moved to Oldbury Now, that does even worse things to you!!
I've been working none stop for the last year, i still check in every now and again just to read.... I'm a tad behind though so can't really post any valid stuff as my input would be well.....crap!!

Blunther October 17th, 2005, 08:55 AM Hello mate
mk61 October 24th, 2005, 07:53 PM hello thar. I'm back.
mk61 October 24th, 2005, 07:54 PM Reports of my death have been somewhat premature :)
Smileyface October 24th, 2005, 08:33 PM Hello MK
morestoreysplease October 24th, 2005, 09:38 PM THe world feels a little calmer now.
tommygunn October 24th, 2005, 09:41 PM Citrus Fruit was from birmingham not noticed him around for a while.
mk61 October 24th, 2005, 11:01 PM Sorry I've not been contributing anything recently guys - truth be told I've been absurdly busy recently, and I got out of the habit. Just checked back in today. Sorry I missed the last meet as well - hope it was a good one. Hopefully I'll be back up to my normal posting levels soon enough.
Blunther October 25th, 2005, 10:41 AM Hello matey
Smileyface October 25th, 2005, 12:33 PM It'll be good to have you back MK coz I've gone a bit shite on the photo taking front!
Butterfield November 17th, 2006, 03:14 AM Another thread revival!
Whatever happened to Nacho? He hasn't posted since August yet he regularly contributed to the Brum forum and brought us news and stuff. I didn't know him personally but he always seemed to be around. He just suddenly stopped posting and no one has mentioned him since.
Then there's Usherling who joined around the same time as me. He showed a BIG interest in our new Buildings and posted most days for a few months. He even had a higher post count than me until he stopped posting and stalled on 376. He returned in August announcing he was back but that was it - he hasn't come back.
Am I going to suddenly disappear without trace? Or worse - Biosonic??  ;)
What happens to these regular contributors, where do they go??
Fusionist November 17th, 2006, 03:55 AM Some forumers lose interest as time goes.. some get busy job and cant contribute and so on.
Not a Brum forumer but what happened to the guy called 'irish blood english heart'. wasnt he a Mod or something ? is he still posting under some other name ?
Also Dee is missing.
Plus some other old timers, whom I cant remember. How time flies..
Mr Glide November 17th, 2006, 04:01 AM And may I take this opportunity to remind everyone about the meet up on
25th Nov - see the meet up thread for details.
Butterfield November 17th, 2006, 05:01 AM Some forumers lose interest as time goes.. some get busy job and cant contribute and so on.
I s'pose you're right. Even some of the older forumers (which sounds strange me saying that seeing as they're younger than me!) are drifting away due to work commitments like dinp and EddyK. Martin G is an exception.
Biosonic November 17th, 2006, 10:02 AM I'm not going anywhere (well I don't plan too - I may go quiet sometimes) :)
Dee is wonderful - fleeting visits but pure gems of information when we get a post
Yeah - aven't seen Nacho for a while, and CargoHold has been quiet too.
El Paulo November 17th, 2006, 12:53 PM I may go missing in action for a short while due to the babby but I'll be back! I've actually not discounted making it to the meet-up but as you can imagine, it's a fine thing.
mahill November 18th, 2006, 01:59 AM Nobody's mentioned missing me!
U475 Foxtrot November 18th, 2006, 02:27 PM I missed you mahill
Smileyface November 18th, 2006, 07:30 PM I have weeks and sometimes months away from this forum at times due to work and girlfriend commitments:) then I'll have a crazy couple of weeks of activity. When I first started on here way back in 2001 I was posting every day/night (I reckon I'd easily be on 15,000+ posts if it wasn't for the hacker and pruning) but I think that's quite natural as you try to get yourself noticed. These days I'm just part of the ssc furniture I think so I don't need to make my presence felt so often.
Anyone remember MIDGEBLACKANDWHITE? What happened to him?
U475 Foxtrot November 18th, 2006, 07:54 PM Yeah, he was brilliant and if he's anything like his posts then he should be on television.
For the more benefit of the recent members he was so optimistic he was either ill or a crackhead ;)

i couldnt agree more
i first started here in 200/2001 and have been here from nearly the very beginnings... it oo go through bouts.... ie like now with bf commitments and uni, this sorta find itself going further down the list. yes i visit numerous times everyday to keep check on u guys and still look at all the newspaper and planing apps but sometimes i do sorta relax... ive been here for the last 6 years, its not as if im suddenly going to dissappear... as a result, dont always need to make my presence felt!!!!!!!
awwwww bless... 6 years...thats sad
BABYCAKES November 19th, 2006, 01:19 AM MIDGEBLACKANDWHITE is still around....Oh yes!
Rigadon October 19th, 2007, 12:16 AM Where's smileyface?
Elizabeth Kinoke October 19th, 2007, 01:14 AM long since gone, I think he might have befriended me on Flickr but I'm not sure? The pictures looked like his work. By the way Rig, do you ever drink in Bar On eTen oposite Nat West?
Rigadon October 19th, 2007, 01:44 AM Very occasionally. Why?
Smileyface October 19th, 2007, 02:27 AM I'm still here I just don't contribute much....or at all! Just got a mega busy life at the moment but I've still got a twitchy camera finger and will contribute soon, I promise. I still look in every day, good to see the Brum forum so active.
Erebus555 October 19th, 2007, 08:12 AM Where's Mahill been lately?
Biosonic October 19th, 2007, 11:08 AM Hello Smiley!
And Rigadon - one of the quiet but considered forumers :)
Dee usually comes up with a gem or two too!
smysticed October 19th, 2007, 06:00 PM As far as I can remember, I've only seen about 5 posts from Dee since I've joined. But they've been good :). And likewise Smileyface, usually the best pictures of everything! We've had some mysterious rumors about Martin G, but do we know that he's definitely not left for good?
Erebus555 October 19th, 2007, 06:25 PM Royal Blue has been quiet lately, too.
ROYAL BLUE October 20th, 2007, 06:40 AM Royal Blue has been quiet lately, too.
Yay, im here.
Just got back from Spain, was living on the Costa del Sol all summer.
Had no connection to the net apart from dodgy little internet cafes.
Really glad to say it looks like there's a buzz about the city again. Its noticible after so long away!
So many projects actually getting under way.
P.S. You wouldn't beleive the scale of redevelopent out there, its staggering. The entire cost from Malaga is a forest of cranes!

It's amazing isn't it RB! I lost myself in a quiet town near Almeria in the summer, but ventured out to a Water Park with the kiddies at a place called Roquetas-de-mar. From the top of one of the slides I counted 76 tower cranes!!! 76!!!!!
Welcome home by the way!
Butterfield October 20th, 2007, 10:47 PM FLD anyone?? :?
Erebus555 October 20th, 2007, 10:48 PM Who? ;)
Smileyface October 20th, 2007, 11:06 PM It's like one big huge reunion all of a sudden! When's the next meet up then?
Telfordboy October 25th, 2007, 04:23 PM Remember Tony Bear? He was cool.
Erebus555 October 25th, 2007, 04:27 PM I complained about his signature to the Fox and after that he just disappeared. :(
Butterfield October 25th, 2007, 04:28 PM Tony Bear kicked up a storm in a short period of time.
I also remembered last night The Concerned Potato - I didn't know him personally but you'd see him around on here.
Erebus555 October 25th, 2007, 04:42 PM What about Cargohold? He was quite prolific around these parts when I started to make myself known but then he just disappeared, making the occasional post ever few months or so.
Butterfield October 25th, 2007, 04:44 PM Oh yeah! He was from Wolverhampton, I think. Took some great photos if I remember rightly.
Telfordboy October 25th, 2007, 04:50 PM I missed the Tony Bear situation? What did his sig say if you can tell me without offending anyone?
I remember The Concerned Potato, I'm sure I still see him around sometimes :dunno:
Erebus555 October 25th, 2007, 04:56 PM His signature was more embarrassing than anything. It just had "Birmingham, the second city, as voted for by SSC forumers!" I just felt it was unnecessary. I think someone else complained as well.
Flogging Molly October 25th, 2007, 04:58 PM I miss Sim ... no wait. His still here - I dont like this screename. sexy. I like ... HIGH 5.
Concerned Potato makes an appearence when news of Birmingham FC breaks ground.

Fair enough, I hate that second city crap.
I miss Sim ... no wait. His still here - I dont like this screename. sexy. I like ... HIGH 5.
I liked you better as Simlim (not that I dislike you now). You were a little friendlier
Erebus555 October 25th, 2007, 05:10 PM Rigadon's not been like his old self, lately. :(
Butterfield October 25th, 2007, 05:12 PM I don't think I've ever spoken to, or quoted Rigadon. He doesn't tend to use smileys.
Erebus555 October 25th, 2007, 05:14 PM  I tend to avoid him after seeing the picture of him transforming into the hulk at the Brummie meet up.
Flogging Molly October 25th, 2007, 05:20 PM I liked you better as Simlim (not that I dislike you now). You were a little friendlier
SSC is not life. im a friendly soul with alot of genorousity ;) On here when I see what people write I begin to realise how so many people lack 1. a sense of humour, and 2. punctuality.
Which is the reason I care little for some forumers around here. No, Brummies ... but others as they cant seem to see other view points. Infact Birmingham forumers are the only ones who dont go round deliberately bashing other cities. It might have something to do with our status and recent progression but its something that is very evident with residents of so called "underdog" cities.
Biosonic October 25th, 2007, 05:22 PM Do you mean punctuation? ;)
Butterfield October 25th, 2007, 05:24 PM How about these guys:
MJH
bileduct
Erebus555 October 25th, 2007, 05:28 PM Anyone remember Nickykcin? He had a short spell on here just before Crimbo.
Butterfield October 25th, 2007, 05:29 PM No. :|
btw CargoHold hasn't posted for nearly a year!
Telfordboy October 25th, 2007, 05:38 PM I don't think I've ever spoken to, or quoted Rigadon. He doesn't tend to use smileys.
I have, he shouted at me for suggesting that it was pointless having a healthy option in places like MacDonalds, I told him to go fook himself (not in those words).

I hope for the purposes of that ^^ I'm included under the Brummie forummer tag.
I never bash anything.
Erebus555 October 25th, 2007, 05:45 PM Sorry if you're still around, but is Engels still posting? I have a bad habit of not noticing people anymore...

Yes, Engels is still around. You see his panda avatar regularly.
Erebus555 October 25th, 2007, 05:57 PM Oh yes, I remember. I still remember him without the avatar :|.
Flogging Molly October 25th, 2007, 07:52 PM I hope for the purposes of that ^^ I'm included under the Brummie forummer tag.

Right bang under it. Think we have the best forumers out off all the regional cities.
Engels October 25th, 2007, 08:12 PM Oh yes, I remember. I still remember him without the avatar :|.
Irony of ironies i put the avatar on so i would be more noticeable, not less.
Might be posting a bit less of late tho
Mercurius October 25th, 2007, 09:34 PM I miss Sim ... no wait. His still here - I dont like this screename. sexy. I like ... HIGH 5.
:lol::lol::lol:
Butterfield February 9th, 2008, 06:57 PM Anyone know where Telfordboy is? He/she seems to have been posting less over the last week and has finally disappeared completely. Not that I care one little bit, of course. :)
....But I do miss seeing him/her on here. :(
I guess the 'Ghetto Bird' finally caught up with poor T-Man.
hoody February 11th, 2008, 05:18 PM Coowee... only me. It's taken me over a month to get back onto this thing. I updated my email address and the account cocked itself up. I tried to reactivate it and had to get in touch with Jan who sorted it out for me.
Pity at the time i had a cracking few things to say. If only i can remember what the were?!:dunno:
Biosonic February 11th, 2008, 06:38 PM Think...THINK!!! :)
Telfordboy February 12th, 2008, 01:25 PM Anyone know where Telfordboy is? He/she seems to have been posting less over the last week and has finally disappeared completely. Not that I care one little bit, of course. :)

Pfft, I would have thought was obvious >(
At least someone missed me.
Butterfield February 12th, 2008, 01:41 PM I never like to be too gender specific. :sly:
Well I missed you - I've had to make do with Helium for my daily fun. :shifty:
Telfordboy February 12th, 2008, 01:46 PM I'm sure you managed to struggle on without me. Helium is quite funny so it can't have been that bad.
woodhousen February 12th, 2008, 01:53 PM missed you hoody!
Butterfield February 12th, 2008, 01:54 PM I'm sure you managed to struggle on without me. Helium is quite funny so it can't have been that bad.
Biosonic February 12th, 2008, 03:34 PM Well I missed you - I've had to make do with Helium for my daily fun. :shifty:
Some people use Crystal Meth :hahano:
Telfordboy February 12th, 2008, 03:39 PM
tonkster February 12th, 2008, 03:47 PM How can this thread go without mention of Martin G? I know I keep going on about him but... Im just intruiged!
I wonder if the Birmingham SSC community turning on him caused him to finally give up. Or whether hes too busy, or moved. Or maybes hes had a heart attack - he was always a very worked up guy.
The guy did my head in, but I kind of want him back.
Erebus555 February 12th, 2008, 04:09 PM Wjfox did contact him a few months ago, although Martin didn't reply. I don't think he left because of us. From what I remember, he was very busy in real life and he had some problems he was sorting out. He was a good guy! I miss him quite a bit - especially his incredible rants! We just don't see vocab like that on the forums anymore! :(
Butterfield February 12th, 2008, 04:31 PM Mmmm. It was also good to have a decent older guy around (he was in his 40s - some sources even say 50s) who knew better than most of us how things were back in tha day and was able to share those memories with us. He seemed to know about everything.
tonkster February 12th, 2008, 05:33 PM Yeah I know what you mean. Start a petition to bring him back!
hoody February 12th, 2008, 05:34 PM missed you hoody!
It'll pass. Just wait until smileyface starts something that gets out of control.
tonkster February 12th, 2008, 05:44 PM duuuuuuuuude, you joined so long ago, yet your post count is tiny! You must've made quite an impression in the little time you spent on here to be remembered by the big shots.
mk61 February 12th, 2008, 05:56 PM ^^ You lose posts as old, defunct threads are chopped away. I had a post count of about 1500 pre-hack, when I came back it was something like 300 posts a year and a bit later.
Gotta keep topping them up.
hoody February 12th, 2008, 06:24 PM I posted loads of stuff at one point i had 1000's. I had a fair amount of stuff go on in my personal life. Moved home twice and doing DIY i had no time. Thats all sorted so i am back. With avengence!!!
Biosonic February 12th, 2008, 08:53 PM Hurrah!
Mercurius February 12th, 2008, 10:30 PM Anyone remember Nickykcin? He had a short spell on here just before Crimbo.
Indeed. I was a lurker at this time.:)
Butterfield January 15th, 2009, 12:12 AM Nacho and blahblah - missing.
mk61 - missing again.
woodhousen January 15th, 2009, 10:38 AM i do miss nacho....
Erebus555 January 15th, 2009, 09:26 PM There's too many Birmingham forumers. I feel bad when one comes back, saying that they've been away and I hadn't even noticed! Woody, I propose a pruning of the number of Birmingham forumers that we have! ;)
NeilM January 16th, 2009, 12:19 AM There's too many Birmingham forumers. I feel bad when one comes back, saying that they've been away and I hadn't even noticed! Woody, I propose a pruning of the number of Birmingham forumers that we have! ;)
Are you volunteering then? ;)
Smileyface January 16th, 2009, 12:36 AM Don't prune me! I browse this site every day and really need to input more and definitely take some new photos.
Erebus555 January 16th, 2009, 06:29 PM Are you volunteering then? ;)
And let Butterfield or Biosonic get a chance of grabbing the number one post count spot? NEVER! >(
Butterfield January 29th, 2012, 11:43 PM What's happened to Biosonic? :? Once a regular poster he hasn't posted since September!
djay January 29th, 2012, 11:49 PM was thinking the same about BDE
Erebus555 January 30th, 2012, 12:19 AM ^^BDE went off to join the army, or something like that. He wrote a little message in the Lunar Society but I don't think many people picked up on it.
And Bio's disappearance is quite sad - he/she used to come out with some great nuggets of info. They had been posting less and less these days, however. I just hope they're alright!
woodhousen January 30th, 2012, 12:28 AM bio is alive and fighting fit... i just think its work commitments...
Butterfield January 30th, 2012, 12:42 AM Good to hear.
Who is BDE?
Erebus555 January 30th, 2012, 12:49 AM ^^Bureau des etrangers - the fella with the Bergerac avatar. :)
Butterfield January 30th, 2012, 12:57 AM Oh yeah, I remember someone saying they were joining the army. And I know it wasn't jerseyboi.
Erebus555 January 30th, 2012, 02:03 AM I'd feel sorry for BDE if jerseyboi joined the army.
sefton66 January 31st, 2012, 11:19 PM Where's Sutton Baggie aswel?
Butterfield June 22nd, 2012, 02:50 AM Whatever happened to ellbrown? He hasn't been on here since last year. From what I remember, everyone always seemed to be complaining about something to do with him and I guess he took offence and left in the end. :shifty:
Qoasis777 June 22nd, 2012, 09:14 AM Yeah I think it was the digs at his endless pictures of billboards etc
morestoreysplease June 22nd, 2012, 01:26 PM who's lbrown then?
Erebus555 June 22nd, 2012, 02:59 PM lbrown is someone different, just so happens to have a very very similar name.
Ell sent me a message earlier in the year when I asked him what was up.
"Just don't like it when people are abusive about my photos.
Just having a long rest from it. At the time was concentrating on my new London photos.
Rather concentrate on Flickr, and want to take things outside of Birmingham mainly.
Also concentrating on work."
