how come you can zoom in so close and the graphics still so sharp? are you using google earth or google earth pro? do you set it to use directx or opengl?

yar i noticed a slight improvement in the resolution but still i can't zoom in to as much clarity as the picture showing the tampinese flat. that altitude would be close to 1000ft! i'm using opengl as the renderer.

also why they only blur off the western part of singapore, just because its the live firing area? the other sensitive areas like paya lebar airbase, pulau tekong are not blurred off and i can see some funny developments deep within the central catchment area...

go to earth.google.com and download the latest version. If i am not wrong, i was prompted to update the new version of google earth about a month ago. I'm also using openGL but i have modified the detailed area to Large and anisotropic(WTF?) to high.

2 years old? really? just installed. quite fun. can see the details leh. :D

Deep in Mac-Ritchie is a Japanese Shinto shrine from the years of Syonan-to. However, it was destroyed either by the retreating Japanese soldiers or by the victorious British and today, only the ruins of the once sacred religious site remains.
the red area being the site of the Japanese Shinto shrine (Syonan-Jinja) and the grey line being the possible site of a bridge linking to the Shrine.

i saw an article at SPI on this. quite interesting, but i prefer the shrine be left there instead of being found. who knows what oni, youkai will we release if we trespass upon it.

yar hor, they really do look like rafale... anyway they can't be either the f-16s, f-5s or skyhawks. maybe rafale sent 2 planes here for the rsaf to conduct test flights, but most probably f-15 would be the choice by rasf :)
