One Liberty is one of my favorites.

I have always loved the Philly skyline. I gave it an 8.5/10. I have a question for all you guys from Philly, back when the Red Wings played the Flyers in a few years back (possible the finals), I remember Detroit putting a big wings jersey on the Spirit of Detroit, and Philly putting a big Flyers jersey on one of the buildings. Which building was it and if you have any pictures that would be great.

Awesome skyline, one of my Top Ten in the United States! Interesting older buildings and architecture make up the really dense lower levels, and then there are several awesome towers that come up through the top, all perfectly placed it seems. I hope another "signature" tower, preferably modern, goes up in Philly soon, it would really add a whole new dimension to the skyline. 9/10 during the day, 9.5/10 at night. Gotta love that zig-zag lighting!

Philly has few building above 500 feet, but the ones it does have are real tall, well designed, and nicely clustered. The city has a simple symetry with one central peak, and that is appealing. Philly has a lot of older buildings that aren't prominent in the skline pictures, but make for a really great experience in person. One of the few cities that looks good in picutes AND in person. 9/10

Despite it's troubles, Philadelphia has managed to create one of the ultimate skylines in the past 15 years... it's amazing that only a couple decades ago, Philly's skyline was a very short and ugly skyline... dominated by the city hall building (which is awesome)... since breaking the height rule, the city has churned out some of the best skysrapers of the past 15 years... the Liberty Buildings and the Mellon Building are all po-mo masterpieces... this city has such great height

Symetrical, balanced, layered, overall excellent. The view from the (crumbling) South Street Bridge is inspiring.

9.0 I've been all over the world ( I was a travel agent for 25 years), and the view down William Penn Parkway from the top steps of the Philadelphia Art Museum past the Logan Square fountain to City Hall is one of the best I've seen anywhere.

Can someone help me out here? I'm looking for the name of a specific building. I was visiting Philly about 5 years ago when I took a picture of it. It's a tall, brick building of average height (probably federal or gov't building) with two columns of black window pane on bith sides of it. There's a low partition at the bottom of it which is covered with a row of red, white and blue banners and a big American flag in the middle. I know my details are a little sketchy, and I can't tell if it's demolished, but I'm 101% certain that it's in Philadelphia (Independence Hall is in the background), so sorry I can't present a photo. The fine people at phila.gov either think that it's non-existent or that I'm pulling their legs, so I hope someone here can prove my point; i'd appreciate it (skyline's an 9, btw)

Philly is an 8 for me. Definitely room for improvement especially east of Broad Street. Couple angles are absolutely amazing manhattanish , others angles you would hardly know there was a skyline in Philly. The big buildings seem to be too clustered, eliminating each other in many cases. You can't see Liberty 1 or Liberty 2 from the art museum, thats ridiculous.

Should be interesting to see how Philly's skyline evolves in the future. I would like to see more skyscrapers and less suburban office parks, lets get it together Philly.

For a city that has 1.5 million people, the skyline is pretty good. It even has a better skyline than Phoenix which has more population, and is somewhat comparable to Houston which has over two million residents. I'd still say it could use another 700-900 ft tower somewhere
