"And Janne Saarinen should take the first plane back to Finland he is completely useless."

Finland? Wasn't he playing in Germany before moving to Denmark?
Yes, but he is originaly from finland i belive...and he sure sucked...

The game was pretty bad, dont know what happend, but it does seam that when they meet, there always one team totaly on top. Only a few months ago, the 2 teams met and FCK beat brøndby 3-0... So both teams are just so good, then when the other team has a bad day, they get creamed...It happen...this time to us. We'll survive...

About the goteborg stadium. I surprised it can hold that many people...One of the arguments used by fck to move the royal leage to parken, was that we could hold more people...I guess maybe we missed something...Or maybe i did...

Oslo soccer club Lyn made global headlines when their talented Nigerian prospect John Obi Mikel ran off to London with a flock of agents, lawyers and clubs in hot pursuit. On Wednesday his two compatriots at Lyn also vanished.

The club failed to locate forwards Ezekiel Bala and Chinedu Obasi Ogbuke on Wednesday but at a press conference that afternoon said that the missing duo were in Germany for the Nigerian under-21 national squad's training camp in connection with a World Cup qualifier.

Lyn would be discussing this with the Nigerian football federation since the players left Oslo nine days early.

Lyn's John Obi Mikel (left) and Chinedu Ogbuke (right), along with Ezekiel Bala, have left Oslo without warning and are now reportedly training with the Nigerian Under-21 squad in Germany.

However, later on Wednesday evening Norway's TV 2 reported that their sources had spotted the two Nigerians in London with Mikel. TV 2 Sports also interviewed a Lyn kit manager who said that the death threats to Mikel after his signing with Manchester United was announced emanated from associates of Nigerian football agent John Shittu.

The chaos around John Obi Mikel, who has been claimed as sold by Lyn to Manchester United, linked to Chelsea, and also has a small army of unrelated agents who claim to represent him, increased with each new development.

At a Wednesday afternoon press conference Lyn announced that they and Manchester United are filing a complaint to international football federation FIFA against Chelsea and FIFA-licensed agents Rune Hauge and John Shittu. Lyn director Morgan Andersen said the letter of complaint fully outlined their version of the Mikel affair and was co-signed by Manchester United director David Gill.

Andersen also said a letter had been sent to Mikel via agent Jerome Anderson. Andersen said the club want Mikel back and no disciplinary action would be taken against him.

Lyn's legal counsel, Erik Nadheim, said that they had also informed the Norwegian Football Federation (NFF) of their version of charges made by agent Rune Hauge that Lyn had coerced Mikel to sign with Manchester United and that Lyn and Morgan Andersen had swindled Hauge.

Nadheim said that there was at least one thing all parties agreed, and that was that John Obi Mikel is currently a Lyn player and under contract to them until the end of 2006.

On Monday the NFF received a letter from a new person, a Michael Harris, representing a firm called Howard Kennedy. This contact desires a meeting with Lyn.

"We would like to have a constructive dialog but we must know who they represent: Mikel, if they are independent, or if they represent Chelsea. But we remain open. We would rather have a meeting too many than one too few," said Lyn board chairman Sveinung Lunde, told newspaper Dagsavisen.

Lyn believes that Mikel is on his way to the Nigeria U-21 training camp in Germany.

Nigerian agent John Shittu has been summoned by the Nigerian Football Association to explain his role in the transfer controversy around Obi Mikel.

Congrats!

Damn that was a great game. Only bad thing, was that the danish chanel lost their connection during the penalties, after FCK scored their first goel. It was dark screen for about 4 minutes, but it felt like forever...And the sound was out another 3-4 minutes after that...Anyways, it was a great game....

Everyone on FCK's team scored, (including goal keeper Benny Gall) except Peter Christiansen, and Tobias Linderoth, who both missed their penalty chance. Magne Hoseth scored 2 times on penalty, and Hjalte Bo Nørgård scored 3 times. 2 on penalty, and once in the original game...Oh, and the final result was actually 11-12...No reason to exclude the original goals...I all counts...

In case you missed it, back up gold keeper Benny Gall, picks the shot from George Mourad, who had scored a goel in the original game...

Actually they ware thinking of stopping, as liverpool wasent doing as good in the premiere league as they used too, but the marketing director was interviewed yesterday in the Danish news, and he said they had basicly reached an agreement and all that was needed now was for the deal to be signed...I think he said that they expect to pay 70 million Danish kroner every year, over the next 4 years...

Copenhagen football club FCK won the first Royal League football tournament by defeating IFK Göteborg 12-11 on penalty kicks

It took thirteen penalty kicks for Copenhagen's FCK to defeat Swedish IFK Göteborg 12-11 and win the first Royal League football tournament for Scandinavia's top teams, daily newspaper Jyllands-Posten reported Friday.

FCK controlled proceedings from the beginning with fine footwork from Sibusiso Zuma and Magne Hoseth, and FCK's Hjalte Nørregaard brought the Copenhagen team ahead in the 17th minute.

Cracks in FCK's defence allowed Göteborg to tie 1-1, however, and the game continued into a penalty kick playoff.

FCK's reserve goalkeeper, Benny Gall, seized the day and became the hero of the day by stopping George Mourad's 26th attempt.

'I have won a bunch of titles with FC Copenhagen, but this, of course, is something I've always dreamed about. Where you play a decisive role like Zuma did when he scored on a bicycle kick a few years back and won us the championship,' Gall said.

With only 10,000 people in attendance in Göteborg, the Royal League still has a way to go before it becomes a hit with football fans.

FCK takes a fine souvenir home, however, after winning the DKK 7 million in purse money.

royal league is far from popular here. only 10 000 on a final, while a Gbg derby attracts over 40 000. That says a lot.

Well nowadays in HKI it's around 7,000 and other matches are from 3,000 to 4,000. Tampere has had audiences from 8,000 to 11,000 and Mariehamn hade like 5,000 in their first match but others have been around the 2,000 mark.

I think a lot of the popularity, or lack thereof, of royal league, has to do with the clubs. Despite the high pricesum, the clubs here in denmark has made it pretty clear that they didnt make the royal league a big priority...And obviusly the fans pick up on that, and therefor dont really care...

My team, FCK, only made a bit for the tournament, after there early departure from the european leagues, and they only really putt all in, after they realiced that the championship was gone for good this year. That has been the case in most of the Danish clubs, and i get the feeling it pretty much the same in the other countries. That this has not been a very high priority for the clubs...So you cant really be surprised that only 10000 show up for the final match, though i still feel that that number could have easily been dobbelt, had the game been played in Copenhagen. BTW, the avarege number of audiences to FCK' s matches in parken, is about 20.000...

Jonas Bjorkman and Max Mirnyi snatched their first grand slam crown together with a three-set victory over American twins Mike and Bob Bryan in the French Open men's doubles final overnight.

The second-seeded Swedish and Belarussian pairing beat the 2003 Roland Garros champions and third seeds 2-6, 6-1, 6-4.

"It's an awesome feeling, to win all four Grand Slams was something in the beginning that I never really expected," said Bjorkman, for whom the French crown completed his collection.

"Honestly, going into the match day I was a bit nervous. I started off not that good, and managed to regroup and be sharp in the next two sets. It is an awesome achievement."

For Mirnyi, the victory ended a series of semi-final disappointment.

"To be honest, I was way more nervous going into the semi-final round," he said.

"I've been here three times in the semi-final before and haven't been able to come over that hump.

"I wanted to win today, but I knew that he'd be more nervous today than I was," Mirnyi added, gesturing to his partner.

1 bad game though was the Turkey VS Kazakhstan game ... Turkey won 6-0 (of course) so Turkey is now in 2nd in our group ...

1st = Ukraine - 9games - 23 points
2nd = Turkey - 9games - 16 points
3rd = Greece - 9games - 15 points
4th = Denmark - 8games - 12 points
5th = Albania - 9games - 9 points
6th = Georgia - 7games - 5 points
7th = Kazakhstan - 7games - 0 points ( :lol: )

We still have a chance of becomming second .. but only if:
- Greece loses against Georgia and Denmark (and wins/ties against Kazakhstan)
- Denmark wins atleast 3 games (against Greece, Turkey, Kazakhstan) and ties 1 (against Georgia), or wins all 4 games..whichever one..
- Turkey loses the last 3 games (against Denmark, Ukraine, Albania), or loses 2 (against Denmark & Ukraine) and wins/ties 1 (against Albania)

if this happens, Denmark will qualify for WC2006 in Germany :D If it doesnt happen like this, then Denmark is out :(

Football club Brøndby defeated Herfølge 7-0 on Saturday, securing manager Michael Laudrup his first Danish championship

A new era has begun and football club Brøndby has never been stronger, the club's leadership said, after manager Michael Laudrup finally took the Danish championship on Saturday.

Laudrup said he was both happy and relieved to see his troops win after having gold slip through his fingers in his first two seasons at Brøndby. He did not intend to relax on his guard, however.

'We need to gain more strength,' he told daily newspaper Jyllands-Posten. 'Now everybody else will focus extra on beating Brøndby. We will be fair game.'

Laudrup's young team quickly overwhelmed Herfølge in front of a full stadium on Saturday, defeating the visitors 7-0.

Brøndby sealed the fate of the game after 20 minutes with two goals from the team's Swedish duo, Johan Elmander and Thomas Kahlenberg.

Herfølge's will was broken, and the remaining time provided a backdrop for Laudrup's symphonic football orchestra.

Brøndby's captain Per Nielsen furthered the lead to 3-0 with a header, and Daniel Agger rounded off the first half with to 4-0.

After the break, Herfølge returned with some resistance, but two quick goals in succession by Martin Retov and Kahlenberg totally demoralised the visitors. Morten Skoubo closed the festivities in the 83rd minute.

The win provided Brøndby with an impressive cumulative score of 16-0 in the team's last three home games.

Brøndby CEO Per Bjerregaard said the team had never been stronger than now.

'I can't remember things ever looking so good for Brøndby,' he said. 'Laudrup's system has finally come through. We have many young players and few old. Economically we're also doing fine.'

After the game, Laudrup could look back on season that had its share of ups and downs.

'I'm happy and relieved. That we won 7-0 just serves to underscore what a great season we have had,' Laudrup said.

With trophies from both the SAS league and tournament play earlier in the season, Brøndby has proved itself the dominant power in Danish football. A number of players have awoken the interest of the international market, and questions have already begun to arise whether Brøndby will cash in its chips now and sell off promising players like Elmander, Kahlenber, Retov, and Agger or try to build on its success next year.

Danish racer Tom Kristensen sets a record, winning the 24-hour race at Le Mans for the seventh time

Tom Kristensen triumphed in his Audi R8 at Le Mans on Sunday, becoming the first driver to win the 24-hour endurance race seven times. Jan Magnussen won a new victory in the GT 1 class, daily newspaper Jyllands-Posten reported.

Kristensen drove past the chequered flag himself, after sitting in the racer for the last three and a half hours of the race. He surpassed Belgian Jacky Ickx's record of six victories through disciplined teamwork with colleagues J.J. Lehto of Finland and Marco Werner of Germany. The Audi team was up against the faster French Pescarolo racer, but managed to keep its cool and win through perseverance.

'It's a fantastic feeling,' was Kristensen's first comment after bringing his racer to a halt. 'We knew that the only way we could win was through discipline.'

While standing on the winner's podium, Kristensen was overcome by emotion.

'My first victory at Le Mans is the most important one, because without that one, I wouldn't have won any more. But this is the one I will remember,' he said.

Kristensen's victory overshadowed other Danes who participated in the historic race, but relative to population, Denmark is the nation most represented at Le Mans.

Jan Magnussen won the GT1 class in a Chevrolet Corvette - a repeat of last year's victory.

Thorkild Thyrring and Lars Erik Nielsen also took a sixth place along with Pierre Ehret in the GT2 class, driving their privately owned Porsche 911.

One one day after the end of the season, and the winning of the silvermedal, FC Copenhagen is making the first changes to the team, that in only a few weeks start training for the new season.

Jesper Bech, whos contract was set to expire next summer, told the club he would not sign another contract. Because of thet, FCK has agreed to sell him to Malmö FF.

Magne Hoseth is also leaving the club, returning to Norway to play for Vålerenga. Magne played a great last season, but has been lacking this season, especially after the vinterbrake...

Finally, as expected, swedish gold keeper Magnus Kihlstedts contracted has been terminated. Magnus came to FCK in 2001, but his time has been pleaged by many injuries, as is his current status is. Magnus played 93 matches for FCK, and he will return to Sweden with his family. He is not expected to return to the fields as a player....

Marcus Rosenberg is quite different from Zlatan Ibrahimovic. He is not as big and not as good with the ball, but he is a really good striker maybe better than Zlatan was at his time in Malmö FF. But you should´nt expect him to be a new Zlatan he is not that good and he will need longer time to adjust to the dutch-league.

Michael Rasmussen took the ninth stage in the Tour de France, winning all six mountain spurts. Team CSC also re-captured the yellow leader's jersey from Discovery's Lance Armstrong

Michael Rasmussen fulfilled his boyhood dream by taking the ninth stage of the Tour de France. He was also able to keep the polka-dotted mountain jersey by winning the six spurts of the mountain stage.

The normally soft-spoken Rasmussen had difficulty constraining his enthusiasm when speaking with daily newspaper Jyllands-Posten after the stage.

'I began cycling when I was six years old, and in those 23 years, I have always dreamed of winning a stage. And on top of that, I did it in the polka dotted jersey,' said Rasmussen.

Rasmussen, who is known as the 'chicken of Tølløse' because of his scrawny figure, already began setting his sights on his new goal of keeping the polka dotted mountain jersey and winning more stages.

'Right now, I'm riding faster than I've ever done in my career. I could hardly feel my chain today,' said Rasmussen.

In other Tour de France developments, Jens Voigt of Danish led Team CSC broke away from the pack part way though Sunday's stage, and his effort was enough to secure the Team CSC rider the yellow jersey. Voigt is the second CSC rider to hold the overall lead in this year's race.

Five riders out of the top ten are now either Danish or ride for the Danish team.

Jon Dahl Tomasson joins VfB Stuttgart from soccarway.com

STUTTGART, Jul 16 (CP) - While Jon Dahl Tomasson seemed to be close to a move to the Portuguese team Benfica, the Dane eventually opted to join German outfit VfB Stuttgart on Saturday.

Tomasson's contract at AC Milan, runners-up of last season's Champions League, kept him at San Siro until the summer of 2006, but the club decided to let the player go, for a total amount of 7,5 million Euros.

At Stuttgart, the striker will be working with former Italy and Benfica manager Trapattoni. The coach was positive about his new signing: "Tomasson is an internationally experienced player, who showed his skills in Serie A."

The player, who signed a deal for four seasons, said: "VfB is an ambitious club, and the Bundesliga is, especially ahead of next year's World Cup, a real challenge for me. I'm very happy that this transfer has been completed.

Now, let's just hope he doesn't run home crying like the last Norwegian we signed. But Bergdølmo should be too experienced to even think of something like that.

And I don't know if it has been mentioned, but FC Barcelona is coming the Århus to play a couple games at Atletion against AGF the 25th this of month and a selected East Jutland team this Saturday.

Anyway: Tomorrow is the big day, for especially Danes (and Germans) in the Tour de France. Michael Rasmussen savoured the glory on Sunday of taking the King of the Mountain contest in this year's Tour de France

As Michael Rasmussen crossed the finish line in this year's Tour de France on Sunday, the polka dots on his jersey and painted on his bicycle spoke their own clear language: The diminutive 'Chicken from Tølløse' had come, seen, and conquered, becoming the first Danish bicycle rider in history to win the polka dotted jersey symbolising the tour's best mountain climber.

The gravity of the feat had almost escaped Rasmussen, however, who has been defending the mountain jersey and battling for a place among the race's top three for the past two weeks.

'I don't really think that I understood what a big moment it was until it was almost over,' said Rasmussen on Sunday.

Though Rasmussen's biggest goal on Sunday was to finish the race after a catastrophic individual time trial on Saturday in which he dropped from third to seventh place overall, he was able to savour the Tour's triumphant entry into Paris.

'The biggest moment was coming around the corner and riding onto the Champs-Élysées,' he said.

While Rasmussen was unwilling to talk to the press on Saturday about his time trial, during which he fell twice and had to change bikes three times, on Sunday he remained as tight-lipped about the future as he was about the past.

'Why do we always need to talk about what's going to happen in the future? You began asking about the time trial a week before it happened,' said Rasmussen to the press after the race.

He was still clearly touchy about the time trial on Saturday.

'I don't feel like talking about that,' said Rasmussen, who had taken his sports director's advice not to let one bad time trial rain on his parade.

'I set a goal for myself early on this year, and everything has worked out. With the exception of 30 kilometres yesterday, this has been a fantastic Tour de France for me, said Rasmussen.

For normal architecture and street scens I normally use my "Canon 28-135 f/3.5-5.6 IS USM" and a if it has to be wider my "Sigma 18-50mm". That last one is not that good though..

Would really like a Canon 10-22mm but can't afford it at the moment. :|

So since they were rubbish (but still won), they will be rubbish the next time?

Haka were pathetic. They spent 10 minutes every time they had a set piece and should have had a bunch of yellow cards for late challenges.

They even kept on delaying the game after we scored.

I think Haka are about the strength of a Norwegian division 1 team.

Several medias reports tonight, via tv2 norway, that FC copenhagens curent coach, Hans backe, will become new head coach in Rosenborg next season. Backes contract with Copenhagen runs til next summer, but it has been speculated that he migh leave during the winterbrake, to give him a little time to sell his house and other things before leaving copenhagen, and also just give him some time of. The speculation of a new coach for copenhagen has been many, but the press seam to have one favorite, Ståle Solbakken, current coach in Ham Kam. Ståle previusly played in copenhagen, but almost died, whn he has a hart atack during his training with FCK, and was saved only be a quick effort by the teams doctor. Danish players were prominent in the finals of the German football league, where Schalke 04 beat Stuttgart

Four out of five Danish players took the field during the final match of the German football league cup, where Schalke 04 beat Stuttgart 1-0, daily newspaper B.T. reported on Wednesday.

Schalke's Ebbe Sand and Christian Poulsen both turned in strong performances and won over Denmark's new transfers to Stuttgart, Jesper Grønkjær and Jon Dahl Tomasson, who delivered mixed results as they tried to find their legs in the new club.

Søren Larsen, however, had to watch his team win from the bench.

Kevin Kuranyi scored the only goal ten minutes into the game.

'You could say that Ebbe and I won 'the battle of the Danes',' said midfielder Poulsen after the game. 'It was clear that Grønkjær and Tomasson weren't in the best condition. Personally, I feel like I'm in really good shape, but that's made easier when we play like we did today.'

Both Jesper Grønkjær and Jon Dahl Tomasson acknowledged that more would be required of them in the coming matches.

'It was bad. It was really bad. I made small mistakes, but I'm not close to being ready. It was my first 63 minutes of playing time since 30 April, but that shouldn't be any excuse,' said Jesper Grønkjær, who was sent to the bench after 66 minutes.

On one hand, I hope we get Ståle, because he's... well, Ståle. On the other hand, it'd be like trading one defensive minded coach in for another, and I think we need a new approach to the game (although we're 3 for 3 in the league).

Scandinavian teams that go through to the 3:d qualification round are:

Malmö (5-4 tot. vs M Haifa) faces FC Thun
Vålerenga (5-1 tot. vs Haka) faces Club Brügge
Bröndby (5-1 tot. vs Dinamo Tblisi) faces FC Ajax
Rosenborg (enters in 3:d round) faces Steaua Bukarest

So now we got four good scandinavian teams to cheer for in race for Champions League, would be nice to see all teams in the CL but I guess that chances for that are slim ;)

For Scandinavan football, I hope that all of the clubs will qualify for the group stage. It would be really cool, and has never happened before. Though, Scandinavian football isn't what it used to be. Malmö FF was in the CL final in 1979 for example, I guess that is an impossibility today. :)

It's only some no-brain casual fans who supports Helsingborg, most normal FCK fans don't care about who wins in Sweden, and at least as many like MFF, Hammarby and Djurgården as Helsingborg.

I think Malmö and Rosenborg have the best chances for qualification.

I hope it goes well with all the Scandinavian teams aswell, but I doubt Rosenborg will perform very well. Their self esteem has hit a new low after having been beaten by several Norwegian teams lately, two days ago they lost 5-1 to Fredrikstad(FFK)! It's strange, becuase they should have enough good players to be in the top. But as I cheer on another team, can't help but feeling abit of what we call "skadefryd"(is there an english word for that?). Rosenborg has been dominating too long.

Take a look at the latest results, and look at how miserably Rosenborg(RBK) performs on the table:D

Well yeah, Rosenborg is doing very bad at the moment. Though, this club has an enormous international routine, and will probably give a lot of focus on the CL since they're playing so bad in the domestic league. Steuea Bucharest is a good team, but Rosenborg can definately beat them.

I'm not so sure. Even though I'm a fan of FCK, I hope Brøndby will go through to the Champions League.

We (FCK), beat Ajax a couple of seasons ago, in the UEFA Cup. They had players like Van Der Vaart, Ibrahimovic, Van Der Meyde and Christian Chivu then. They definately have some big talents now though, and are probably a bit more organised, but I think they're a bit weaker, than they were back then. They're still finding their ground, on which to set their footballing legs.

I say Brøndby has a good chance to qualify, without loosing the role as underdogs though.

LatvianGG

Ajax has one of the weakest team they ever had this season, besides Rosenberg, there are almost no new names this year plus 2-3 key players left in the summer. Techincally, maybe they are a bit better than brondby, but still there is not good team game. Their offence is this year pretty bad, they still haven't found a decent central forward after Ibrahimovic left. I don't think Rosenberg is a striker they are looking for (although I heard he's pretty good). And plus - he would probably not play wednesday, he has some injury (as well as 3-4 other key players).

Hehe, this was the real fight :okay: Kanter was lucky to throw some 3 m more than was his average and pretended to the gold, but.. Alekna made the final throw with ~1.5 m more than Kanter's lucky shot. It was amazing :D

Hans Backe is also in the running to be the next Finland coach but right now it's Jyrki Heliskoski. If he does well then maybe he will continue. Other candidates mentioned are Marco Tardelli, Egil "Drillo" Olsen, Ari Haan and many others.

Malmö FF seeks UEFA approval to play at Parken:
Malmø FF have asked governing body UEFA permission to play at the Danish national arena, Parken - provided the team qualifies for the Champions League.

Chairman of Parken Sport & Entertainment and FC Copenhagen, Flemming Østergård, says that he is open to the idea, of Malmö lending the stadium, for their possible fixtures in Europe's finest club tournement.

Well, we might get Champions League football in Parken this season after all.

Poker scandal hits football club

09.08.2005

Football club Nordsjælland finds itself in the midst of a crisis, after its star player is revealed to have been cheating team-mates in poker games

Know when to walk away, know when to run. The gambler's advice might also include 'know when to say you're sorry' for FC Nordsjælland's, Mads Junker.

The club's star striker was recently revealed to have been cheating his teammates out of thousands of crowns in friendly poker games.

Revelations that Junker had cheated team-mates out thousands of kroner when they played poker during breaks and on the long bus rides to away games has threatened his status on the team.

Junker would have to find a way to regain the team's trust according to manager Johnny Petersen:

'We have to be good enough to forgive his mistake. But first and foremost, Mads has to solve the problem on his own. He has to work a great deal with himself, and he has to find out why he did, what he did,' said Petersen.

This is a real shame. It is however not the first time a gambeling scandal rock a danish club - form cphpost

From what I´ve understand it seems that by UEFA-rules the Malmö stadium is not allowed to use there standing-sections which would make the capacity of the Arena 27 500 which is allowed in Allsvenskan.
With only seaters the capacity is just 15 000 spectators which is far to low if
MFF were to make it to the group stage and meet big clubs like Milan or Man U.

what´s the capacity of Parken 42 000?

(08-07) 09:07 PDT COPENHAGEN, Denmark (AP) --

Tour de France runner-up Ivan Basso of Italy won the Tour of Denmark on Sunday, capturing four of the race's six stages.

Germany's Andre Greipel took the final stage, which finished in the Danish capital. Fifteen teams and 120 riders competed in the 527-mile race through Denmark.

Overall, Basso finished ahead of CSC teammate Kurt-Asle Arvesen and Rory Sutherland of Australia. Arvesen won last year's race.

Basso was second in last month's Tour de France, which Lance Armstrong won for the seventh straight year before retiring.

Yeah, like in the English Premiership, the rule of only seated areas being allowed for European games, was implemented after disasters such as Heysel and Hillsbrough in England. (Although modern terracing - standing places - such as in the new ultra-modern German grounds are almost safer than seated places, so it doesn't really make sense).

That's also why Brøndby, for instance, has fitted seats on the lower tier at the FAXE end (normally standing area) for their match tonight against Ajax. I guess Malmø Stadion is too old for this practice to be efficient.

And cphdude is right, the exact number of seats at Parken is 42305.

At any cost, I think Malmo should play at Malmö Stadion. Indeed this is a crappy arena, hopefully in a few years, we will have a new one. If MFF were to play at Parken, people from all over Scandinavia will come only to watch those "big" teams play and there wouldn't be so many MFF-supporters... which would ruin the advantage of playing at home.

So thanks, but no thanks. :tongue2: (Haha...)

Are you sure of that? I mean, I'm sure Malmø would be granted the major share of tickets, like FCK would. If FCK got into the Champions League, or the UEFA Cup, for that matter, people from all over would come and see those matches too, but FCK and their fans would of course be first priority, when dealing out tickets. I'm sure that would be the case to, with MFF.

The only disadvantage I can see for Malmø, about playing Parken, is not a decrease in their own supporters, but lack of income of all the more neutral supporters. The income of those supporters will probably go right into FCK's pockets,a long with whatever MFF must pay in order to play at Parken :D

I would say a draw (Brondby IF vs Ajax Amsterdam) is quite okay.
With the first game taken into account, Brondby IF is going to need a 1-0 win (or more) in Amsterdam in order to proceed.
