SteelCity32 February 16th, 2003, 07:31 PM I like Denver's skyline...8/10
Kaneda February 16th, 2003, 09:05 PM I gave it 8.5 because its a beautiful skyline, and its a really nice city. Hope i can go back soon.. :)
Venezuelacom February 16th, 2003, 11:30 PM cool I'll give 8/10
Muse February 17th, 2003, 01:26 AM A nice compact skyline in beautiful surroundings - and FYI where Frontier Airlines has its corporate head office ;) .
8.5
BGT April 14th, 2003, 11:53 PM 8/10
BG918 April 15th, 2003, 12:31 AM Denver has a great skyline, kinda boxy but lots of height and very dense. Downtown is also really active with the Pepsi Center, Coors Field, Six Flags, the U.S. Mint, State Capitol, and Mile High Stadium in and around it, plus lots of residential and retail with more going up all the time. I love the Qwest Tower, cool design. 9/10 for a cool skyline with an even better mountain backdrop.
giallo April 15th, 2003, 06:00 PM I'm sure Denver is a great city, but I don't like the skyline at all. It looks very bland. 5.0
_tictac_ April 30th, 2003, 06:06 PM very bland? u gotta be kidding me :bash: :D
I love the skyline, one of my favorites actually
weirdo May 8th, 2003, 09:54 AM not a very special skyline but decent nad neat enough. well done.
7/10
Ivan May 11th, 2003, 09:22 AM 7/10
Siddy_18 June 8th, 2003, 01:40 AM Ok skyline 7.5
tocoto June 9th, 2003, 02:21 AM I was very impressed with Denver's skyline. It's only bad angle is from I-25 to the west of Downtown. For the size of the city it is one of the best. The natural backdrop of the rockies is really nice too. Could use some new towers. 8/10
DubbaG June 11th, 2003, 03:31 AM Way too boxy and not very dense due to what looks like a lot of surface parking lots. I hate the Wells Fargo Tower. However it does have some height, and I LOVE 1999 Broadway. Somebody post pics of it!
7/10
Evergrey June 12th, 2003, 12:24 AM 4
Of course, the location is awesome... but the skyscrapers look like the worst of 1980's architecture. Qwest and the curved Wells Fargo just don't do it for me!
james2390 July 28th, 2003, 05:01 AM 8
Mr. Detroit July 29th, 2003, 12:52 AM I just got back from Denver last week, and to be honest, I was disappointed. The buildings were very bland, and very suburban. The cool place in downtown was where all the older, less then 5-story buildings were. I don't know, it just didn't really stand out to me as being a good skyline.
5.5
The Pride July 29th, 2003, 06:01 AM hmm the skyline is kind of average looking.. But somehow its not that bad and not that good either (just average).. Score: 7.5/10
milehi August 4th, 2003, 01:32 PM I love it!!! The really big picture is both good and bad. It shows how big the skyline really is, but it sure does not look to dense!!! From most angles, Denver is quite dense!
cincyimages August 8th, 2003, 06:11 PM Where are you guys finding these awful pics of skylines. UGGGGG
You give Denver no justice. Denver is a awesome skyline. I give it a 8.

I'd rate it better, but then those aerial made me change.
Trances November 13th, 2003, 05:30 PM BUilding are a little bland in feauters
and kinda boxy but there is some height over the density.
WHich I always like
Strong but small skyline with an mountain backdrop.

jtown, man November 17th, 2003, 01:32 AM I think from the ground it looks good. But man, those areials are nasty! 7/10 it looks like one big parking lot
Primo November 17th, 2003, 03:02 AM I like the skyline, also the city is beautiful! 8/10
SeeMacau November 18th, 2003, 01:19 AM The skyline is kind of good, but some towers are very boxy
8/10
Aquarius November 19th, 2003, 07:35 PM quite modern and very compact buildings
8,5/10
sjambler November 25th, 2003, 02:12 PM 7/10. I like how the skyscrapers are spread out, it feels more open, but a lot of them are boxy and there aren't enough for such a large city. Do any of them have an obsservation deck?
Anvers30 March 28th, 2004, 05:32 PM Denver skyline has beautiful and Rocky Mountain helped nice view for Denver background. I gave 8/10 for this city
ArchMadness March 28th, 2004, 06:37 PM 6.5
I'm not to impressed by the skyline. The color scheme is horribly bland. I don't think there would be any difference in a b/w photo and a color. The mountains and the vibrant nature of the downtown area make up for the lack of interesting architecture. The pedestrian mall seems incredibly successful which over time will hopefully allow for some much needed new construction downtown.
SoboleuS April 3rd, 2004, 11:36 AM Not bad, quite dense but buildings are boring :sly:
7/10
shibbie June 6th, 2004, 02:12 AM I like the aerial shots. The different angle of the street grids make this skyline somewhat interesting from the ground. Nice 8.5/10
rayman June 6th, 2004, 12:51 PM the skyscrapers looks way too boxy here 4 out of 10
skylover June 6th, 2004, 06:44 PM Denver looks good.
7.5/10

The Messiah June 10th, 2004, 04:13 PM The towers in Denver ain't what it should be,but the skyline is ok
7.5/10
bunt_q June 17th, 2004, 09:18 PM Mr. Detroit, you should have had me show you around!
Anyways, I agree with a lot of you, our skyline needs a boost, but overall I love Denver. The scenery helps a lot... a couple more towers, and we'll be in another league. There are many many smaller projects going on which help the street life. Now we just need the landmark buildings!
detroitboy04 June 17th, 2004, 10:39 PM Not bad but needs a taller skyscraper like the NEW FOUR SEASONS Denver
r2 June 28th, 2004, 11:00 PM nice skyline but is it me or is it still the same skyline that existed 20 even 25 years ago? i know that denver has been building a lot of fantastic municipal buildings, linear parks and transit facilities but it seems like the business community needs to step up and BUILD SOMETHING
Stompi June 28th, 2004, 11:13 PM it's very compact:)it's between 8, and 8.5
benji45 June 29th, 2004, 12:06 AM Wow denver looks a lot like Calgary! With the same kind of buildins and the rockies and the flatness in areas reminds of Calgary a lot.
i_am_hydrogen December 9th, 2004, 01:49 PM 8/10... What a nice surprise--I never knew Denver had that nice of a skyline.
DamienK December 12th, 2004, 01:03 PM 6.5/10
wolfbec December 21st, 2004, 12:25 AM I love Denver and its sky line. Too bad there are no new photos of it so much has changed in the last 2 years and by the sound of it a lot more will be going on in the next 3 to 5 years YEAH
If some one has a "NEW" photo of the sky line at night taken from I-25 & Colfax that would boost up the rating "I Garin Tee"
MIMICA December 27th, 2004, 06:08 AM It looks alittle "plain" to me, but it's not bad! :)
I have it a 8!
Taufiq December 28th, 2004, 09:44 AM 7/10
VanSeaPor March 30th, 2005, 08:55 AM Ahhh Denver, one of my favourite cities in the States. The skyline's good, the people are nice, and has a high quality of life. An eight out of ten. ;)
MattSal March 31st, 2005, 02:20 AM A very unique skyline, especially great with the mountain backdrop. I give it a 7.5/10. :okay:
hauntedheadnc March 31st, 2005, 04:16 AM A nice, dense, modern skyline with a mountain backdrop... it doesn't get much better. 9.
Imperfect Ending March 31st, 2005, 05:06 AM 7.5/10
The Arial picture reminds me of Los Angeles
cwilson758 March 31st, 2005, 06:28 PM Denver's skyline dissapoints because it doesn't have a signature tower. Yes, Quest is the tallest, but can you get anymore dull?? The density is great and teh Rockies add a lot, but overall, so what? Much like Indy (albeit Indy doesn't have as much height), but no architectural stand-out.
I didn't know that Denver had an observation tower. When I was there I never noticed it. How long has it been up?
ptownsnwbrdr April 14th, 2005, 09:13 AM A couple more pics...

Jaybird April 15th, 2005, 03:02 AM Denver has awesome heightage, pretty good density, and those rocky mountains add nicely to the scenery around there. 8.5/10
40748246 June 11th, 2005, 09:03 PM Several buildings with similar height which make the skyline consistant.
okeydokeypokey July 19th, 2005, 08:19 AM I just cannot wait until Four Seasons or el jebel start...!!!
Zarkon July 19th, 2005, 01:06 PM Denver has one of my favourite american skyline.. 8.5
B@dGuYoM July 19th, 2005, 01:14 PM 7/10
ParraMan July 19th, 2005, 06:51 PM 7.5
The city has some height, and appears to have some density too. Aerial shots showing the attack of the parking lots show that there are pockets of density, and then a lot of empty space. Surely a lot of potential for the future there. Buildings themselves are mostly quite old, therefore needs some new infill developments to increase the score.

-Corey- January 29th, 2006, 05:10 AM 8.5/10
lancetop February 2nd, 2006, 01:57 PM Never been to Denver, but I've always heard nice things. The skyline is extremely boxy with a plethora of flat-topped towers. No real standouts, as previous posters mentioned.
One or two signature buildings 60+ floors would make the skyline sizzle.

BigCity February 2nd, 2006, 02:23 PM So many places I'd like to visit, so many cities I'd want to see, and Denver would absolutely be one of them. 10/10

Ęsahęttr May 30th, 2006, 11:59 PM 6.5/10
Not very good... additional .5 for being "Le Ville de Haut de Mille en l'Etats Unis"
Accura4Matalan May 31st, 2006, 12:40 AM Nice ordered cluster. Reminds me of MN.
cwilson758 June 1st, 2006, 07:04 PM Denver has a great cluster and good density, but damn...could the buildings be any more bland and boring? BOXES EVERYWHERE! There needs to be a "signature" tower of sorts.
oli4 June 2nd, 2006, 03:21 PM 8/10
Kiss the Rain June 3rd, 2006, 10:55 AM Seems not bad to me, at least the skyline got some density.

Jack_White455 June 16th, 2006, 08:17 AM 8, Denver looks like it has a cool looking skyline.
Absolut355 June 16th, 2006, 11:11 AM How I love Denver...always had MANY great times there!! Especially at Red Rocks, seeing lots of hippie bands
Even though the sprawl in Denver is huge, including the airport which is in the middle of nowhere (still a very sweet AP) I still love that city.

bob rulz June 28th, 2006, 08:12 AM Call me crazy but isn't Denver much bigger than Calgary. The Albertan city is much more impressive! 5
Yes, but Calgary's skyline is larger and more impressive than most cities 3-5 times its size, no matter what part of the world you're in. Calgary is filthy rich and they're a huge business center.

Bashing American cities again I see. :|
There is just no way this city should get a 4 looking at that skyline. Maybe Monterrey Mexico should for having less of a skyline. But wait...
the third City of my country has a 10
I say Denver deserves at least an 8.5/10 for having a decent skyline. :)
MDguy January 24th, 2007, 11:17 PM It looks better in person imo. It's great. And ferguz, just stop posting (on American skylines)...you're embarrasing yourself :ohno:

Sonnie March 30th, 2009, 11:46 AM The skyline itself is not that great 7/10.
The picture taken by ~hippiechic~ is stunning though, with that countryside I like the skyline better.

usermel April 8th, 2009, 04:33 AM I dont understand how the skylines get judged! Very biased opinions on this site to me. I respect others opinions but, who honestly rates this skyline as a 5 or even a 6. Again to each his/her own but being fair is priceless! Also, I notice alot of hate for American cities in general from non- Americans. I gave it a 9!!

Its not really a 9 when NYC and hong kong r 10's.
9's are Shanghai, Sydney, toronto etc.
This is about an 7, not too bad.

...seems to be an attitude that the U.S cities are automatically disliked. Whats the criteria here, opinion or is it about number of buildings or design of buildings? Im perplexed to say the least!!! Thanks for the support buddy and the laugh, I thought it was just me. The U.S has no friends in any form anymore. To all on this site Americans are good people please rate our skylines fairly, thanks!!! L.G.N.M:):):)

New Yorker25 August 11th, 2009, 03:07 PM Definitely one of my favorite cities in the mountain states. Denver's setting makes its skyline even better than it already is. plus even though it is a bit boxy it has quite a bit of character. 9/10

The people have spoken, Denver is officially in the big leagues! I wouldn't personally give it a 10, but thanks anyway for the vote! Also, thanks for the latest pictures everyone, though most of them are a little old, I really like the aerial shots.

Denver as a city deserves 10/10.
As to the skyline, it's compact but nice. 9/10

Those pics with the mountains in the background really remind me of Calgary.
Jay January 19th, 2012, 08:21 AM Looks like a mini-Calgary.
Calgary is bigger than Denver? I'm pretty sure they're about the same size, at least they are skyscraper wise
Anyway, Denver has a really great skyline I think, 8/10 for a city of it's size.

Anyway, Denver has a really great skyline I think, 8/10 for a city of it's size.
I'd say that while Calgary is more dense, Denver definitely has more skyscrapers, and much nicer ones.
Jay January 19th, 2012, 10:08 AM ^^ They're actually about even skyscraper wise
Jay January 20th, 2012, 10:52 AM Denver has a pretty decent skyline, even by world standards, but it is small for the USA. But for a city of it's size, I am impressed
