Here are some crime stats for my neighborhood near Annapolis for last year.

Murders - 0
Robberies - 1
Forcible Rape - 0
Aggravated Assaults - 6
Burglaries - 4
Larceny - 52
Auto Theft - 5

Not too bad, but it's not exactly paradise either. This is just the neighborhood, not the whole city. The neighborhood covers about 1 square mile.

I live in shorewood, wi which is a milwaukee suburb and I walk from the UWM campus to my apt at all hours of the day and i never feel threatened in any way. i suppose living next to a police station helps, but none-the-less, it feels safe to me.

Kinda. There was a murder a couple weeks ago right down the street. Then again, it was in these ghetto ass apartments....go figure. I never have felt unsafe in my neighborhood though.

My Baltimore neighborhood (Idlewood) isnt very dangerous at all. We do average about 3 or 4 car thefts per year, but in most cases the cars are just taken to another neighborhood or something and are returned to the owners. Larceny as become a recent issue too, but its still around 5 per year.

I know lots of people think Baltimore is this absurdly dangerous. Like most large cities, your chances of being a victim of violent crime is significantly reduced if you're not out doing the wrong things and hanging out with the wrong people.

Little if any crime happens in my city, its amazing considering that there is over 130,000 people in it, I think it was the 13 safest city in america or close to that.

A few weeks ago some yahoo was running from the police on a (probably stolen) crotch rocket and crashed into our garage as he tried to evade the cops by cleverly cutting through our alley. That's about the worst thing that's happened so far. So, no, my neighborhood is fine.

I believe he is talking about Warren,MI. In fact, two or three of Detroit's largest suburbs are in the top 10 for America's "safest" cities.

My neighborhood is really safe. But things do happen. Two apartments in my building were burglarized in one day. A cab driver was robbed and shot on my block about two months ago. There are some thefts here and there. Overall, though, it's safe. I can walk around at any hour of the night and not feel threatened.

not very dangerous at all. petty crime is a bit of a problem, there was a shoot-out in the street by my place about a year ago, but that is pretty rare. I actually did a search, this is what happened within a mile of me over the past two weeks. not great, but not horrible either.

My neighborhood is one of the safest places. Sometimes I don't even lock my gate when I go out for 30 minutes, and my house has never been robbed.

I hope it stays that way (gulp).

Well my neighborhood in Chicago (Albany Park), has really turned around in the last 10 years. We still have some gang issues but not like the late 80's or early 90's. Back then there was too many Latin Kings, Familia Stones, Simon City Royals, Spanish Cobras, Insane Popes, ViceLords......It was hard being a teenager and not being influenced by that lifestyle. Today, yuppies and new immigrants everywhere! All is good!

The only problem I have is crack-heads. Give 'em a cigerette and they'll tell you a great story though.

My neighborhood has had a lot of crime. I can count three police reports that I personally filed for crimes against me in the last 2 months.
