That's a boring skyline for a city with that many buildings! 5/10

Lacks height, and it is very boxy. Looks like a city with nothing new since 1972. No focal point, just a sea of buildings all the same height. That street however is cool. It's THICK! I love how the buildings just buddy up to it too. 6/10, I'll be generous.

Looks like any other city in SA, if somebody diden't tell me it was Buenos Aires, i woukld have thougth it was Sao Paulo. 5.5/10 It needs some supertall.

I'm not too impressed with the skyline, but it looks a great city. The wide 'Parisien style' boulevard is very attractive, but I wouldn't like to be on it when it's busy. looks like an overgrown 60s brutalist estate from the east end of london with the odd modern building thrown in for good fun. a hotchpotch mess of bad urban planning lacking any center, and no excitment. sorry but i want my skylines to get me hot under the collar, this is just a flop.

Indeed, Puerto Madero and Barrio Catalinas are the best of the urban renovation of Buenos Aires, in fact the Barrio Catalinas is also known as the "La Defense" of Buenos Aires.
As Primo said, in the front of Puerto Madero right now are many projects under development wich in the future will improve the Buenos Aires' Skyline.

Because is a great city, and is one that i love most in LA, mi vote for Buenos Aires is 10/10

I love the look of this city, really looks like Madrid, Barcelona or Paris with the streets crowded out with low-rise buildings. Cool. As for the skyline, seems to have a bit of a focal point in some of those pics, but hard topick out. Otherwise a huge sea of densely packed mid-rise buildings. Needs to get more height in a central location to create a nice form and focal point for the skyline.

God! :wallbash: That white Monument is called "obelisc", it use to be a funeral monument, to reminds someone death. (by the way, many many cities has obliscs, including where I live, Sao Paulo, Brazil)

BsAs has one of the most amazing skylines in South America. What it lacks in height it makes up for in design and quantity. Maybe it's my Argentine bias, but I really like it.

the problem here is that people only consider height!! I bet that if they showed a shitty american city here, with some 4 buildings 200 meters tall and all the rest just houses, people would say "what a nice skyline, it has a focal point! Wonderful! 10/10".

Now there is this wonderful megalopolis that is Buenos Aires, with modern buildings, the tallest around 180 meters, and at the same time an low rise architecture which will remind anyone of Paris... and people BASH IT!! Ridiculous!

7.5 Great City, but only a so so skyline with no really tall buildings.

I loved my short stay in Bs. As. and can't wait to come back. The buildings at Puerto Madero are beautiful and sparkling new, not super tall but what the heck, they look great! Besides that the city is very charming, giving you a cozy and european feel, specially in winter.

Central Buenos Aires needs a revamp but it certainly looks very charming, there are many constructions now and I expect to see it sparkling very soon!

So Buenos Aires's skyline isn't that high... A lot of South American skylines aren't high, but they're still incredible. Buenos Aires is just a special place of unique beauty that combines so many different architectural elements. It's one of the most attractive cities in the world, easily. I find it sad that there are all these great South American cities that not many people, outside of South and Central America, seem to notice.

unfortunately the Buenos Aires urban planned development has some kind of restrictions building high rises over 180m, thats why you only gonna see scrapers less than this high in almost all Buenos Aires. Except the puerto madero district which is gonna have an over 240m high rise building this year!!! probably the highest in south america!!!

Argentina is so charming and huge. The spanish bulwark shows stability throughout the years. I luv the cities with remnants of the centuries old Spanish character like our Intramuros, it exudes hotness.

In fact, Buenos Aires has very few buildings of the colonial period... They must not be any more than 5 or 6 constructions in the whole city.

Buenos Aires NAtional Airport is blocks away from the dowtown area, It cannot have skyscrapers that are taller than 180mts, thus do not expect taller buildings...there's a law that establishes this.

Ok, perhaps it's not tall but look at its extension, it's so vast...

You can even see its impressive skyline very well from the plane and during a relatively long time of flying.

You should really see it from street level, it's breathtakingly beautiful...

BSAS doesn´t need a great Skyline to be beautiful, Skyline is a concept that comes from the angloaxon culture that has now spread over the world.

I can't wait to go to this city!! 10 ALL THE WAY!! Is there any plans for a a tall one which sticks out, cause then I would give it 10.5.

Buenos Aires is one of my favourites cities in the world. It doesn't need super tall buildings to make it wonderful. But here we are not talking about how great it is the city, we are talking about skylines, and the lack of tall towers that BA has, makes it a city of which we cannot say much about it. Nevertheless, I'll give it 9/10. Go Buenos Aires!!!

PS: that airport has to be taken out so that there won't be a height limit.

cute 8/10 the problem with Buenos Aires is the same that with London. They have too many good buildings. But they need a little more of height, there are many projects in both countries but in both there are also many people who don't want the city became a very high city to conserve the old buildings.

IMO Buenos Aires with a little bit of more height it will be the most beautiful city in the world is an amazing city no doubt about it. Anyway the tall towers are really beautiful in arquitecture something that most tall towers lack.


BTW, when will be the Le Parc finish?

6.5-7 the skyline does look very old, looks like the westend of dt vancouver. there are a lot of new buildings as well, but they are lost visually in the sea of mid-rises, very dense and very wide, beautiful city.. skyline.... not as beautiful

Well, the skyline is not among the greatest in the world, but with the new projects, it's changing very fast, and it's getting better and better... About the city itself, what can I say... I just hope that every one that posted here have the life chance to be there, I mean, here...

I have been to BA several times on business and vacation ... if I were rating the whole city I would give it a 8 or 9, but since we're rating the skyline I gave it a 5. There are a lot of midrise residential buildings, but nothing outstanding ... BA deserves a nicer skyline and as I see there are some nice projects coming up.

Hey!!! This is one of the bests cities in the world (and is a brasilian who is talking!). Is unfair to rate this city just based on photos. Once you are there you are going to understand what i am saying. It is a charming city whith wonderful women! Has wonderful old buildings. And some moderns are being constructed. :)

Another South American city that holds very fond memories for me. Very urban.
