I was speaking to someone about this, he thinks that the popularity of rugby has increased since November 2003, where I think there has been no change at all.
Bonus Discussion
Same with Cricket now, one of the most popular talked about sports in England, in a year or so will it be back to square one again?

There was a surge after the World Cup but we're pretty much back to square one now. Rugby will always have stars but the best kind of stars are people like Jonah Lomu who can produce feats of athleticism that are simply breathtaking to watch.

I'm definitely more keyed up on the sport now. I took an interest in who was in the premiership this season - not that i've kept up with the scores.
Its become more of a well known sport, regardless of how many people now watch it.
