No, they're just different areas...Mega Kuningan is more of a diplomatic/residential superblock, whereas Sudirman is more business/commercial - most companies and banks are headquartered along the Sudirman and Thamrin corridor.

its not far actually it takes 5-10 min if there's no traffic

No, they're just different areas...Mega Kuningan is more of a diplomatic/residential superblock, whereas Sudirman is more business/commercial - most companies and banks are headquartered along the Sudirman and Thamrin corridor.

In fact what I'm comparing is Sudirman CBD complex (not Sudirman-Thamrin corridor) with Mega Kuningan complex (not Jl Rasuna Said). Thus, from what I saw/read is the development rate in Mega Kuningan is higher/faster than SCBD.

BNI 46 or often called Kota BNI is still Indonesia's tallest building. Like encon said and what some media reported The Peak, a few hundred meters from BNI 46 will soon take the title of the tallest building. Yet it seems still unconfirmed.

At the moment, yes...but SCBD has more potential in the future, give it 3 years or so and you'll see its potential! Pacific Place (the whole thing) is gonna be HUGE...

The Mega Kuningan Area Master Plan describes a circular central area focused on diplomatic and business use, which blends into a grid pattern for residential use.

Mega Kuningan can be divided into eight blocks, each of which features typical characteristics. Each block is characterized by location and integrated mixed-use. Block distribution is not always reflected in the stages of development, but refers instead to the relationship to, and links with, adjacent lots. The eight blocks are subdivided into 44 sub-blocks that comprise of one or more compartments with boundaries already determined according to allotment within the city plan. The land distribution is privately developed, with each area integrated into the superblock. In this way, each block is connected to others, forming a typical building in this area.

At its center, Mega Kuningan has a large, four-hectare circular area on which will be built into a landmark multifunction building housing a hotel, apartments, and shopping mall. With an area of approximately 230,000 sqm., a 70-floor tower, three basements, and an underpass, it will be the focus of all activities in the entire area.

The main pedestrian activities will be centered on the Main Commercial Block, of which approximately one quarter has been built to house The Ritz-Carlton Hotel and Apartments (finished in 2005). Around the Main Commercial Block, in and adjacent to the outer circle area, is a giant public space for Mega Kuningan’s visitors and residents. To encourage and cater for pedestrian activities in this unique city space, “the street wall” has been created. This is formed by limiting the building’s podium to not more than four floors, thus providing a human scale which complements commercial use and accommodates pedestrian needs, creating a great place to shop, to meet, and to enjoy. This main commercial block will become the premier public space in Jakarta, a destination in itself. This is the unique vision that forms the identity of Mega Kuningan Area.

as a comparable, Kelapa Gading complex have approx. 500 hectares and Lippo Karawaci have 1500 hectares....

those fountains are infront of the bellagio mansions I think.. cause I dont see any fountains at the entrance of the Mega Kuningan district.
and the bellagio Mansions are almost complete. structure wise - they're finishing the cladding, and some finishing touches.

skycrappers is growing fast in jkt,but unfortunately the main gate to enter jkt is still bad..:ohno: liat aja pemandangan kiri kanan tol bandara,..rumah gubuk,tambak sawah,sampe sungai kotor..its show indonesia blom makmur.blom lagi banjir dmana2..so pemda jkt mesti prioritaskan program make over jkt,especially infrastruktur yg dasar,kayak jalan dan drainase.

Kalo gw pengelola Mega Kuningan bakal gw bikin tempat khusus PKL dg jumlah & desain yg memadai.

Tapi kalo msh ada PKL yg tetep jualan selain ditempat itu, bakal lsg gw sikat alias bubarin.

Trus angkot2 jg bakal gw tertibkan & hanya boleh berhenti di halte. Itupun ga boleh ngetem.

pemerintah jakarta masih saja tidak bisa buat pedistrian macam Singapore Orchard Road...
