I love both buildings, but I like 2 Pru better...its so modern and its 995 feet, not over 1,000 feet, because of its spire.
Travis007 September 20th, 2005, 03:44 AM The facades are very similar but 1LP wins it for me because of the more impressive crown and spire. But I could tell that both towers were inspired by the Chrysler building.
Chibcha2k September 20th, 2005, 03:46 AM huh...is this in China?

IMHO is a tie...
Travis007 September 20th, 2005, 03:58 AM ^^Nope, that's the rendering for 1LP in Philly.
ChiLooper September 20th, 2005, 05:39 AM I like both, but 2 Prudential better
volguus zildrohar September 20th, 2005, 11:36 PM That's not One Liberty Place, it is indeed a rendering for a proposed building in China. There are several buildings in Asia that bear more than a passing resemblence to 1LP.
Darius September 20th, 2005, 11:44 PM Similar buildings but I prefer 2 Prudential Plaza. It looks somewhat more elegant and majestic IMO, mainly due to a nicer facade. Ofc, it's debatable. De gustibus non est disputandum :)
james2390 September 20th, 2005, 11:52 PM 2 Pru - Chicago.
LOL, is that really in China? Most Chinese arhictects design so many copy and paste towers over there so it's quite believable.
STR September 21st, 2005, 01:03 AM ^Yes, that building is in China. Last I heard it was under construction.

james2390 September 21st, 2005, 02:01 AM Wow, that's quite amusing.
