Please show me how some buildings, streets, facades looked in the past, 1940 for example and how they look today.

Please European cities only!!!

Here´s and example from Berlin.

A beautiful house in "Friedrichstraße" in the year 1940 or so!

I understand the ethical concerns with recreating lost historic places - its false and devalues genuine heritage - however, its done in europe and in Coventry, a little bit of reconstruction, ie street layout especially, and some areas that were internationally important before the war devestation, should be replaced. Popularist development should be used in places that have nothing to loose - Coventry certainly needs some more attractive areas

Its not all lost though -
