Nova Scotia/Ontario native, JD Fortune has won the contest for lead singer on the CBS show "Rock Star INXS". He was born in Ontario, but grew up in New Glasgow, Nova Scotia. How come we often never know about our own talent until it shows up in America?

Also, did you know that Russell Crowe has a new album, and it's produced by Allan Doyle (Nfld) from Great Big Sea. Russell recently made a visit to St.John's and gave a suprise performance at a downtown pub.

He's acctually a New Zealander, but Australia takes the credit when he does somthing good (big movie) and when he throws a phone, the papers go back and say hes a NZ'er lol.

Plus i think INXS should of reformed, or renamed the band, it wont be the same as it was =(

I was disappointed to learn he was born @ credit valley. I was hoping he could have been born @ mississauga general so I could say he was born at the same place as me.
