Just tried to quickly check my emails through MSN messenger, page won't load.

Tried typing in 'www.hotmail.com' into firefox, logged in, the page froze again and a certification box thing popped up saying ''this site is pretending to be hotmail.com, possibly in order to obtain your personal information''

Erm..how could anyone be phised if they typed in the address themselves?

Earlier this year Hotmail just deleted my account wihtout any warning. Lost a lot of important e-mails and about 70 MSN contacts. I switched to gMail, unfortunately, I only managed to "re-add" about half of the contacts :(
Anyway, gMail has been working perfectly so far :okay:

I have a gmail account but rarely use it. I just use that to sign up for stuff, and let it fill with spam.

Just been to college and checked my hotmail account - untampered, new emails unread.

In summary:

Msn Messenger works fine
On hotmail I can get to the login page, where I'm told my password isn't recognised - and Firefox brought up a box saying it didn't recognise the certificate of the site even though I typed the URL in myself - not phished.
If I try to go to hotmail through messenger it doesn't load.
No other sites affected(that I know of)
Hotmail worked on a different computer

Any theories anyone? Virus? Bug? Messed up setting?

Dunno why anyone would want to hack my hotmail. Unless they get hard over 650 spam emails. :?

What a fucker - I've just checked and I can't access any of my hotmail.com accounts either - I have three or four - one of them says it can't recognise my password, whilst the others just don't load up at all. However, the hotmail.co.uk account is accessible no problems. I just hope this is a temporary glitch and none of my accounts are deleted cos that will be a RIGHT PISSER as between them I have over 400 contacts in the safe lists.

Oh and I'm one of those fuckin hard-done by Mac users too so it could well be yet another newly-encountered "Mac 0S9 Thing".

on one of my friends PC's i cant get hotmail to load full stop.
It loads, you type in your password and username, and it just takes you back to that screen. and we checked - its not spyware Malware etc... its annoying as hell.

Ive been getting most of these problems in the past week, id suggest using Yahoo mail instead cuz frankly hotmail refuses to work just when u want it to the most! :bash: :bash:
