[MakkabI] September 23rd, 2005, 07:51 PM Why only 17 floors? not enough.... should be more...
I hope that tower will increase the floors soon...... Kirya is in Tel Aviv area right?
source26 September 23rd, 2005, 08:03 PM it was designed as 36 floor tower but after 9-11 they split it into two 18 floor,
one built one beggining (this one).
gilad500 September 23rd, 2005, 09:22 PM Oh I hope that they will increase its hight during the construction time like they did with the Kirya Tower...

Kirya is in Azrieli area...
source26 September 25th, 2005, 08:27 PM The kirya tower wasincreased because there was private business demand for offices next to the government offices.
This is the IDF and they calculate in advance how many floors they need so dont expect it to go higher, they build what they say they will build..
Kappa21 September 25th, 2005, 11:58 PM but there is so many vacant places in Israel to be used for Offices, and in the Gush Dan area..why always go in one place...
and also there is soe small houses along side the Azrieli area..
why not take them down and build something nicer and newer?

the small houses are from the templar german colony that was in that part of tel aviv for some years. they are to be preserved (50 buildinsg) and were and still are moved (!) on rollers a few meters at a very high cost (some millions of dollars) . all around them will be a small park and around it the south kirya towers.

Isnt there a Germany colony in every city..
one in haifa, one in Jerusalem....
jeeze, just move them back to Germany for all i care :)
But i hope that area turns nice into some sort of conglomorate synergy of buildings..
Tel Aviv doenst have this crowded area of buildings..yet..they should..like Ramat Gan..or LA!
TalB September 26th, 2005, 03:03 AM If this Kanarit Tower 2, then the first one is already finished.

I hate to sound anal and repetitive about it, but Ramat Gan is a part of Tel Aviv. Maybe not administratively, yet, but if we look at the urban economics of it, then yes, certainly. For example, How do people call Freeway 4, from Ashdod to Ganot interchange? that's right, The Tel Aviv-Ashdod freeway, even though it's not even near the municipal area.

Yea you got a point...
Its the same city but its a mega-borough in a sense..
Its like saying:
Brooklyn-Manhattan....
Its the same thing where both are part of NYC.
in Canada we have Toronto and a place ontop of it called North York...
North York is a city in a city and since the capital of the province is Toronto, the government made alot of buildings in the 60's and 70's in North York for beuracratic/governmental stuff...
Yet, there 1 city...
In your case, since your in Haifa...
you have Haifa and you have the Krayot.... typically its the same thing.....no? :)
