Actually construction is going really fast. Tower already become visible from many spots.

I saw a picture some days ago it looked like it was topped out but you know better since you're from Ankara ;) The current situation of the building is definitly further than in these photos,that's sure ;)

Excellent news! Whereabouts is the building located, near other skyscrapers?

I think it's located on Eskisehir yolu where Armada,Halkbankasi,Tekel towers and many others are also located.

^^No it is not located near other scrapers. It is between Ulus and Maltepe, just on the edge of the old and the new city. Actually we don't have a really dense cluster in Ankara although we have plenty of 100m+ scrapers. They are quite splitted, there are few tiny clusters. :(

messiah, you are right. Construction is very further than the shots. Actually constructions less than 150m don't really excite me, I guess also others. So nobody came up with recent updates.

It is not topped up yet, I am passing over it everyday by car. I am driving so can not take shots, but I will take shots in a few days, and update the thread ;)

I've seen this buildings from the bus terminal on Eskisehir yolu or was it a different building that I saw from the terminal?

^^No this one is quite central. Close to Ulus, quite away from Sögütözü where bus terminal is located.

The one you saw was the SIM Business Center Probably. :)

It is sold to "Ministry of Envoirment and Foresty" It is cladding is going on, mostly over, whole building will be completed in few months.

Building is located opposite to the TCDD building. It is between Ulus and Tandogan Districts. It will be taller than I imagined. There is still 8 floors to be built.

Excellent! Another 8 floors? Wow, then the tower is currently around 2/3 of it's final height...good news!

Bu kadar farkediyor mu acaba, ben cam piyasasini bilmiyorum ama kaç milyon dolarlik bina yapip, sonra ucuza kaçip rezil ediyorlar. :ohno:

Bence maliyetiyle pek ilgisi yoktur, ucuz mal kullandırıp aradaki farkı götürüyorlardır. Ne de olsa kamu ihale usulü çalışıyor.

Ankara'daki cam kaplı tek özel sektör gökdeleni olan Armada'ya bakın bir taraftan da. O kadar kaliteli malzeme kullanılmış ki, çok yüksek bir bina olmasa da, önüne gittiğinizde binadan etkileniyorsunuz, gözünüzü alamıyorsunuz. Sanki Uzakdoğu ülkelerinden ışınlanıp oraya kondurulmuş gibi.

Ankara'daki bütün kamu binaları mimari felaket zaten. Ama bu binanın rengi hava ile de ilgili. İlla flotal kaplamak zorunda olmamalılardı...

eveeet.. hiç bir ozelligi olmayan tipik bir Ankara binasi daha çikti ortaya.

bu bina tandogan daki MKE nin mavi camla kaplanmi$i bu haliyle, umarim beyaz yerleri kaplaninca bi $eye benzer.

This is old actually. Cladding is over, very little details are left.

Btw this building will also serve as Municipality Hall.

Daha günceli varda, arkasındaki gecekondu tepeleri yüzünden koyamıyorum. Ayrıca bu bina belediye de olacağı için bizim 133m'lik proje de (hani şu yıllardır olan) iptal oldu demektir.

Onun iptal olduğu çoktan belliydi zaten. Neyse şimdi tren garının yanına da bir gökdelen yaparlarsa, burada da bir skyline oluşmaya başlayabilir, devlete ait bir sürü boş arazi ve eski bina var burada.

Aslında, ilk etapta, bu bölgenin gökdelen bölgesi olması Eskişehir yolunun olmasından daha yararlı olur gibi geliyor bana. Hem yanıbaşındaki erken cumhuriyet dönemi yapılarıyla dolu, Ulus-Sıhhiye canlanır, bölgede planlanıp, gerçekleşmemiş kültür projeleri gerçekleşir, hem de buralar değer kazanıp, gecekonduları yok edilebilir.

I think the helipad reduces its lameness a bit. I wonder how many meters does it add to the height (100m is the height of the original plan I suppose)

As of today, the status of the old project in Emporis was changed to "never built", and the name of the entry "EGO Headquarters" was changed to "Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Building". That also got me wondering if the height entry of 100m should be corrected.

Oh, good, that's the way it should be. Off-topic but Yüksel Biz. Center should be changed to Never Built too.. If I am not mistaken that should be the alternative project of SIM (current Environment & Forest Ministry).

100m is the height declared by several official mouths from Municipality, in newspapers etc. but I also think helipad is not included in that.

wow Oztek that is the best shot of this building I've seen so far....

They should use black marble instead of that white-grayish one:bash: both blue and black are contrast colors!!
