Oriolus September 26th, 2005, 05:21 AM Personally I'm quite partial to a black skyscraper here and there. They look really sleek and break up the ligher colours that tend to dominate most cities. What do you think?

James Foong September 28th, 2005, 08:58 AM Black either gives a dull impression or presents a bold statement. Dont think its look beautiful.
Islander September 28th, 2005, 09:15 AM I usually don't like black colored skyscrapers, but there are definately some exceptions. The Sears tower and JHC in Chicago were extremely impressive, and I like Donald Trump's trio of Manhattan towers very much (Trump tower, TWT, Trump int. hotel).
I dispise 1 Liberty Plaza because the magnificent Singer Building was demolished to make way for it, not to mention the fact that I think it's an eyesore.

I don't know why it was built there to begin with, and if you look at the NY Merchandise Mart carefully, you will notice how much the Millenium Hilton resembles it.
