View Full Version : Miami approves county's tallest building mileageman September 28th, 2005, 04:38 PM ... Dale September 28th, 2005, 05:02 PM Does this mean that the height will stand ? And isn't it curious how every project that comes along, that is taller than Four Seasons, is heralded as the 'tallest', even though Met 3 is scheduled to break ground December ? The Mad Hatter!! September 28th, 2005, 09:44 PM why do they keep bringing up the tallest crap when its obvious met3 will be taller than anything approved. MIAballinboi September 28th, 2005, 10:06 PM ^ya and especially since empire would be taller than all of em . hopefully ChuckScraperMiami#1 September 29th, 2005, 12:16 AM Oh wow Everyone :cheer: !!!, This is really great news, Just think what Miami is going to look like in the year 2012, or sooner, and the construction Downtown now is not a tourist attraction, its dust and trucks up and down Biscayne Bvld. :hm: Mileageman  , you da man :okay: , thanks for this " Most " important Update of our Magic City. :speech: All Newcomers :hi: , please vote in the Florida Forum thread, " which Florida city do you like overall, only 4 more votes for that " Magic City 100 ", thanks for voting. :applause: kevinkagy September 29th, 2005, 12:41 AM good news, it'll be really nice to see the skyline in a few years, but traffic will be horrible lol. Jasonhouse September 29th, 2005, 04:56 AM Does this mean that the height will stand ? And isn't it curious how every project that comes along, that is taller than Four Seasons, is heralded as the 'tallest', even though Met 3 is scheduled to break ground December ? That's just how it goes... We get the same song and dance here in Tampa... Well, we did until 2 of the 4 candidates were nixed. :( Dale September 30th, 2005, 03:58 AM Does the fact that the project is approved mean the height will stand ? Anyone ? logybogy September 30th, 2005, 04:01 AM Is Met 3 really the tallest building? The only place I've seen 866 feet is in promotional materials which knowing developers could very well be BS. The city of Miami spreadsheet says 786 feet. JR79 September 30th, 2005, 04:53 AM Is Met 3 really the tallest building? The only place I've seen 866 feet is in promotional materials which knowing developers could very well be BS. The city of Miami spreadsheet says 786 feet. I've seen actual architectural drawings which show the total height as being 866'. Now, whether these drawings with this height have been approved by the city of Miami or not is the real question... Hopefluly Empire will be built and top them all! Dale September 30th, 2005, 05:03 AM I think the spreadsheet's outdated. And I think its approved at the revised height. I beleive a forumer (Aessotarig ?) actually called MDM to confirm this. MIAballinboi September 30th, 2005, 05:16 AM u saw the plans jr? well hopefully ur rite, then again, were hoping for it to be taller than 866 lool Dale September 30th, 2005, 05:30 AM Chuck keeps on teasing us with 'almost 900 feet'. He knows the saleslady, you know. :) nimbyhater October 1st, 2005, 03:55 PM shes watching us... The Mad Hatter!! October 1st, 2005, 04:27 PM the developer said at city commision that its over 850ft. |
