This forum is starting to get very messy, and hard to surf for non-regulars...

Folks, please remember that development news goes in the Development News forum.

This means all postings about upcoming projects or projects underway, regardless of how far along the process is and so on.

The main forum is for everything else, like pics and other generalized topics pertaining to the region.

Thank you, and happy foruming! :)

Thank you Jason :) for this important update, like me being a lead man with the county for the last 5 years of my 28 years wih Miami-Dade county , its good to have a meeting with the members once in a month to let members know whats going on and a safety tip at every meeting, like letting us know the rules. Its true, even at my work, employees and employers do bend the rules " just a little ". I believe the comment " Forum is a mess scares many memebers here, and just chased many outside members away. Maybe if you had the title, " README: Forum members need to clean up ", they might have the feeling of being more respectful to ya. But, as usual, I always hear the same saying here at my work, Its Miami !!!

p.s. Jason  , please return our " sticky: Miami future meeting place thread. Thanks, it had good pictures and we do use it about every so often to keep up with our real meetings together. :grouphug:

But it hadn't had a new post since like Aug 4th...

Regular discussion will keep it near the top... otherwise, the next forum GTG will get its own sticky... We always sticky the meet up threads when we know of them.

Well ... I was always amazed at how popular this site is in general.

But, I'm not sure where you folks host your servers, but as much as I'd like to post photos and interact, your server is so slow to respond that it was just painful waiting for the server to respond, so I stayed away. And this from several locations both cable and dsl. Perhaps you've fixed some of this since I last posted. I host right on one of the top 5 NAPS, and it makes a difference.

Oh and as someone else mentioned, I too would like to see a search function on the site.

You may want to consider using something else besides a message board software which has to be mcguyvered to show photos and get something that does both photos for real - not http pulls from other sites - that alone could be impacting your performance. As each photo thread is sent to a user, your site has to pull all the sites that have been linked in each post to each user, rather than pulling direct from your server in a gallery - so as the posts build, it takes extra time waiting for the photos to come from god only knows how many different sites, in each post.

perhaps something like http://www.pixelpost.org/
