Proposal 2 or Poposal 6, can't decide yet! I thought they've already pronounced the winner, Signark's proposal, Proposal 6, but they was probably not the case, perhaps they was the favorites among somebody withinn the city council or investors of the project.

Proposal 2 is not perfect, the stadium don't look that great, but Torsvika is a very good situation for a high-rise ( ;) ), and the stadium will be hidden quite well without it.

Proposal 6 is a nice proposal, simple but a beautiful design, and something new as cphdude said.

#6 looks nice, but the problem is capacity. Start has had an average of nearly 10.000 spectators this year, so it should have a capacity of atleast 14.000 imo.

#4 would also be nice, if it didn't lack the feel of beeing intimate.

I'm left with two alternatives, #1 and #2. I'll vote for #2 because it looks to me like an extension is possible on this alternative. And the architects have drawn famous stadiums like Ullevaal stadium, Color Line Stadium in Ålesund, Vallhall in Oslo, Sørlandshallen in Kristiansanda and the Vikingship at Hamar.

Vikingeskipet is amazing, but Ullevaal sucks big time! That is one of the most ugly stadiums of Norway, sadly. Color Line Stadium in Ålesund isn't the most incredible one either.

I would first like to point out that I do not watch soccer, or care about the game. However, I prefer number 3 because chairs are not separated into different "floors". It is also possible to walk around the entire stadium without having to go up or down, no matter what row you sit at. I think both these thinks make the stadium more "intimate", and actually also easier to evacuate if the soccer fans get too aggravated.

Ullevål isn't the nicest from the outside, but it can be a very good atmosphere on the inside. And that is one of the most important things imo.

It looks like hell inside too! :D, but the atmosphare is probably great none the less!

The winner of Starts new stadium, Proposal 1 was not the worst choise, Kosberg has proven his skills after Moldes stadium, Rica Seilet and his Nydalen projects.

I like highrises, so my vote should go to #2, but design is not so good :(, so i'll go with #6

As Christian wrote, proposal 1 won. Not bad at all, I like it! The capacity is not decided yet, from what I've read earlier they'll decide on that in December, and it depends on the financial situation.

Lets hope the capacity don't get less than 12-13 000, Kristiansand really need a greater stadium, not only for football usage. Start may die out pretty soon, and fall back to first division ( :D ) ! But if they really prove their worth an large expencive stadium, as they've already done they should stake on a 14 000 capacity stadium.

 How is RBK doing these days? :D

Start won tippeligaen in 78 and 80, don't be fooled by the latest years of misery. They will always come back, as it is the team for all of Sørlandet.

^ Yeah, i guess your right :D, my football history knowledge is few, all i remember was some teams really great start a few years ago (Sogndal, Bryne etc.), then suddenly they died out.

Sogndal and Bryne are small villages. Start is the dominant football-team for all of Sørlandet(population 265.000);). For the same reason(their population-base), Vålerenga, Viking, Brann and Rosenborg will also always be among the best teams I think.

6th proposal.

Proposal 1 is good and will follow the crusial thing of building stadiums:

1. Not too large, not too small. A stadium with an average crowd of only 50 % is booring.
2. Corners should be filled with spectactors, or at least with buildings forming a wall, so there will be a soccerroom with no wind.

Kind of a boom in crowdlevel for the norwegian league this year..
