Mmmm what about having tea at the Author's Lounge? That's my personal favourite. Go to Jim Thomson's house as well.

Bangkok-check out those museums and palaces that you didn't go last time. like what you mentioned, Jim Thomson's house, and maybe Vimanmek Palace, Wat Benjamaborphit (Marble Temple), and if you come in Dec., of course The Siam Paragon.:)

Many things to visit in Pattaya. Ripley's, Huanted house at garden plaza, Three kingdom's park, Wat Yann..., Underwaterworld, and Pattaya Park tower.

dont forget to visit the "Sirocco" on top of giant State Tower to see the fantastic view of Bangkok at night....you dont have to order food, just go the colored-light round bar and order a coke or something and enjoy the view, lights, and live jazz music for awhile :) .... (unless you are scared of heights!!)....... my out of town visitors ALWAYS like this as an introduction to Krungthep....

Oh and if you visit Changwat Nakhon Ratchasima, dont forget to visit the Phimai Fair in the Phimai District (I think this is very soon this month or next month)!!!

The annual light and sound show at "Vimayanatakan" Khemer style temple at the Pimai Historical Park is FANTASTIC!!! Narrations are provided in Thai, English, Japanese, and French.

Huge sets, with hundreds of actors and props (and lasers shows) which look like the ancient Kingdoms of King Suravayaman of Cambodia are really amazing when they are outdoors with ancient temples as the stage....incredible.....

even better than seeing those special European operas amid ancient Roman ruins

if you go to Koh Samui, take a speed boat to little Koh Tao and snorkle in the fantastic white warm and crystal clear shallow beaches and see neon colored tropical fishes of all kinds who have no fear of you and come right up to you and say :hi: "where's my khanom??"

also if you go to Koh Phuket, visit Phi Phi Lek and visit one of many private mini-beaches (bring sunglasses, tanning lotion and a fully-loaded iPod Nano to enjoy on the rooftop of your boat too)...wonderfully relaxing scenery, sounds and sights!!!.....

Yup :) I really like to explore new places (and return to favorite places) ... it helps when you can get lots of free tickets on Star Alliance airlines :)

tomorrow Im flying with friends to explore HK again (just for the weekend)...maybe stop by HK Disneyland if we are totally bored (but I am already spoiled by DisneyWorld in Florida and DisneyLand in Anaheim, so Im sure HK Disneyland will be a disappointment :bash: only good ride is "Space Mountain" opened so far there....

NEW PROBLEM!

I'll be going to Tokyo for 5 days. Staying at Crown Plaza in Ikebukuro..(?)

I don't really want to ask in the Japan section cause that section is slow.
I know we have some Japanese Thais here. Please help me out. What am I suppose to do in Tokyo!

(Its part of some package tour thing offered by Singapore Airline 5 days 3 nights in Tokyo. with one tour guide taking us to some attractions but thats only for 1/2 of the day........... its better and cheaper I guess becasue going to Bangkok is about $800 but going on this tour thing will cost about $900 and the hotels will be free (in a way.)
I don't even know what to start asking..

5 days is more than enough to U in spending at Tokyo at fun :)

Ikebukuro 池袋 quite nice for exploration where you stay that hotel is not far away from JR station and so, can come accross to SunShine City nearby and also, a lot of Big Deparment store alongside btw [eki 駅]

Shopping electronic appliance would go to Shinjuku 新宿 and Akihabara 秋葉原

Shopping for fashion are needing to go Harajuku 原宿 and Shibuya 涉谷 at well what they called " YOUNG TOWN"

About Night life and entertainment togehter with modern sensational that why not to visiting Roppongi 六本木

At last, Tokyo Tower, Ueno Park 上野, Shinakawa 品川 and RINKAI FUKUTOSHIN 臨海副都心 must go for leisure :)

Finally, Yokohama 橫濱 also a great harbour front city that if U have enough time before U leave to cruise

By the way, join tour is absoluately of suitable and convenience to you that making less hustle but save up more dollar sign eventually

If you're going to Hollywood then you should stop at Thai Town. It's on the same street too :) just go down a bit.

Sunset Blvd - Shopping street on a mountain or whatever hahaha
Rodeo Dr in Beverly Hills- Gross and expensive but mightaswell check that out.
Melrose - Pretty cool street (more shopping ofcourse) (mainly for teens)
Venice Beach - If you love hippies.
3rd Street Promanad - another (walk only)street by the beach full of shopping stuff
Santa Monica Pier - IF you go to 3rd Street then you should check out the Pier
Westwood - UCLA campus (shopping)

Everywhere is shopping basically ... haha
