Very nice! Anyone know what that short fat building is on the lower right? It looks like a storage facility. :bash:

Don Pacho :hi: , Very nice Pictures from the top of the " Bath Club " condo tower ??? :dunno: , fantastic pics of " Aqua Island ", the old hospital island site. That 6000 Island drive condo is almost completed and turning a light green, lol.

Logybogy  , that warehouse looking building , was the site of the 1972 Republican :2cents: Convention Center :toilet: where they nominated :nocrook: Richard Milhouse Nixon :nocrook: for president, lol. :jk:

I did not know that was a convention center, it's the first time I noticed that building...great spot for something better

What is that second median in the street for on the far left near the condos? Is that new? a bus lane or something? I haven't traveled that stretch of collins in a while and this is the first time I noticed it.

hasnt that always been there? i used to go to my uncle's condo when i was little, which was a little farther south on collins and that lane was there like ten years ago... im assuming if it was there, it was up farther north too

Interesting....I don't recall ever having to go into one of those condos before so maybe it's been there all along and I just never remembered seeing it.

Wow... I watch CSI:Miami every week just to see their amazing shots of the Miami beachfront... I love the modern colorful highrise architecture, and the folks at CSI brighten up the picture to make it look stunning. But like other people here, I worry about the possible overabundance of condos in Miami. When they're building highrises like that, 2 things could happen: Population boom, or abandoned buildings.

Like in the movie Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me, in the scene when Austin is about to travel back in time... he becomes cross-eyed trying to figure out time travel... to which Basil comes over to him and says "I suggest you don't worry about those things and just enjoy yourself."....

I am under the impression that the building is an FPL substation. The windows are phony. It's completely sealed.

The access/feeder/bus lane has been there since the early 80s at least.

The hospital was St. Francis. I was born there.
