I'm going back to Thailand at the end of the year :) and wondering what shopping centres I should visit.

I'm looking for malls which are good in terms of clothing, electrical products, entertainment, food, and just for the experience.

So which shopping centres are the best in Bangkok (top 5)? There's no wrong answer, I just want local perspectives of the shoppings there.

Ohh, im not such a tourist, speak Thai and all, and went there many times before when I was young and forgot the place. (And I doubt nothing's changed!)

last time i went to MBK was just before it was renovated. so its should be heaps better now?

It's all good man....everything are new, refurblished and redone.....go everywhere ;)

1. Siam Paragon( good for you to go back at the end of this year) i'm sure it will be number one there.
2. The Emporium
3.Siam DIscovery
4.Siam Centre
5. MBK

1 Central Chidlom - clothes electrical food(Food Loft is great).............
2 Siam Discovery - nice something along the line not too posh................
3 Siam Centa - nice clothes cds most of it is for teen...........
4 MBK - mostly cheap stuff and mobile acessories........
5 Siam Square - teen stuff.............

Posh Style - Gaysorn ,erawan,The emporium,Siam paragon,Central chidlom
Kiddo - Siam square ,Siam center ,Siam discovery ,Centralworld
Hip style - J avenue,Playground,H1,thonglor and ekkamai area
IT stuffs - pantip,MBK
Flea market - JJ weekend market
,Suan lum night Bazaar (located at Lumpini subway station),Khaosan road , Silom
Foods - i would recommend " Grab a map at BTS " then you will find a fancy restuarant along the BTS line.

I love Central Ladprao....nice atmostphere...

Siam Paragon's soft soft opening is scheduled for December 1 this year (they want to catch the high tourist season)....but I think the real opening (when shops, movies, gym, aquarium, opera house, etc. start full blast) will gradually bloom and be completed totally by next Chinese or Thai New Year (Feb/Mar/Apr 2006)?

well, just go to the Siam Square and Ratchaprasong area. I am sure you'll find everything you need in those two areas.

Siam Paragon is located at the "Siam" skytrain station and is situated between the Siam Center shopping mall and Wat (Temple) Patum on Rama I Road.....Siam Paragon is located on the old "Siam Intercontinental Hotel" grounds....

I like all of MBK, Siam Dis, Siam Center, Central, Emporium, CTW, Gaysorn, Erawan and many more. They are so awesome and unique.
