Space Toon Galaxy in Dubailand planned

Space Toon Galaxy, a new recreation and educational project, will be launched soon as part of Dubailand.
The project, worth more than Dh3 billion, will be financed by Arab and foreign investors in addition to foreign and international banks.
A city will be built which will have two hotels, one of them for children only, and it is considered the first of its kind in Middle East.
Ten planets will be also built, each one with recreation and education centres, such as universities, schools, hundreds of villas and residential apartments and three shopping centres. The project is expected to attract more than 1.5 million visitors during its first year.
"The project will be carried out by international contractors in two phases. Five planets worth $500 million will be completed in the first phase, and the second phase will include the setting up of the rest of the $300 million planets," said Ayman Samawi, executive chairman of Board Rig and Oddment Parks Group.
The city will hold competitions, entertainment and educational activities, which it will broadcast live on the International Space Toon TV, which is watched by more than 93 million people.
