Unique city with the desert mountains rising around it! And its aligned very high above sea level. I'm glad Iran is booming ^^.

Maybe time to drop predujices. From what i've seen, sure some cities, like Cairo, has a special architecture, and most middle eastern cities have their cultural touch. But its not that much of a difference from west really, the city design.

is that your car (thats HOT) i didnt know you had those in iran. how much are they to buy. In holland you would pay around the 60 thousend euro's for one (if you have a company) if you dont have a company you have to pay around the 90 thousend euro's

Everytime I see Tehran photos I get the feeling that soon we'll have a developed and democtratic neighbour which we can cooperate with for a long term!!I'm waiting for this day!!There are so many similarities such as population number,economy,culture,mentality etc...
Since I visit this forum and had a persian girl friend my opinion on Iran has totally changed.In former times Iran was kind of arabic country for me,I knew that persians aren't arabs but I just ignored it.Women in black hijabs were enough for my bad prejudices but I see the mentality of people is different than their costumes!!I'm sure it won't take that long until people exceed the borders set by the government and be free!!This will be the day when noone will able to stop Iran.If Iran is able to grow ca. by 7-8% with such a regime I don't want to imagine the growth when you kick the ass of the govenment!!

there is this section of tehran that is all built in the european style and it is so nice! its near dolat street, im not sure where exactly but they are building a lot of nice apartment buildings.

Yeah almost , well this type of car on the pic (E-class) is mostly being used outside of Tehran and on the expressways .

Why do you have Mercedes police cars?Is it really necessary?I mean I would like my city to have them too but what's the reason they have choosen mercedes as police cars?Even in europe they use opel,renault,fiat etc..

i think its because iran has a big manufacturing contract with mercedes so we can buy cheap mercedeses like in germany because they are manifactured in IRAN
we also have some renaults 206 as police cars because renaults are relativly cheap in iran compairing to other cars (has al to do with import sanctions)

I think you mean the Peugeot 206. I believe they have a manufacturing plant in Iran as well.

yes you are right it was peugeot sorry but yes renault, mercedes, Peugeot havbe manufacturing plants in iran and a new one Volks Wagen is getting a very big one it will develop tens of thousends of new jobs into the country.

does iran also manufacture mercedes cars? i thought only peugeot, samand, peykan?

They manufacture Mercedes trucks and vans. Passenger cars are being imported at the moment, but the manufacuring of the E-class will start soon !
