I think having countdown at CTW and Silom are sure things though+at the airport to promote it. because people are more likely to spend more during that time and ofcourse, it's good for the economy, Gov knows that. Right now, that bridge are under renovation, this is a sign that something cool is gonna happen there. :) :)
