completion: 2007.
60,000 sqm, 163 dunam
stage 1: 11,000 seats
stage 2: completion to 20,000 seats

The old stadium, called "the box", will be 5-6 residential towers to help finance the new one.

Lets hope those two stadiums will be built. those two in addition to the new one in Haife will be good for our country, we need new facilities

the netanya stadium has financial resources and is being built.
Nesher near haifa is also building its stadium.
Beer Sheva and Haifa ones are stuck.

It's about FREAKING time decent stadiums are to be build in Israel.

Not that Israeli football deserves good stadiums... but that's another topic for a different forum I think :)

i live in the caribean where those temperatures are normal and is not the weather that does that to the grass is the lack of water.....

Herzeleid, the landscape in whole isn't that dry keeping in mind that the last rain in this place was in early May and the next rain is expected in November...

i live in the caribean where those temperatures are normal and is not the weather that does that to the grass is the lack of water.....

the caribbean is the caribbean and we are not in a tropical forests latitude of venezuela.
there are no similarities in climate or rain.
also its summer and thats how it looks in summer. still very green for being sand dunes in the past.
now scoot over to bolivia forums and go complain why they dont have palm trees in the salar..

what u dont have salars or palm trees in Israel neighter? shameeeeeeeeee...!!! hahaha relax yerushalmi, the island i live in is not a tropical rain forest but more like a dry place and we still have green grass in summer (or the dry season how we call it here, we only have 2 seasons dry and rainy) cause there is a little thing called urban landscaping....

yes and you judged by one picture of an area which isnt urban, its open land next to a highway. This is netanya promenade from two days ago.
I hope the grass is green enough for your exacting standards of grass greenliness.

Well my lawn is greener than all of Israel. You all lose. But then the Negev is way rockier and sandier than the construction zone in front of my house, so I guess you win after all.

finally after the arduous long and costly road some good news
the stadium is confirmed to start operation from this summer and 2012-3 season.
eufa delegation visited the stadium and were satisfied with the facility.

no. they will play in bloomfield or teddy once the south stands are finished with 30,000 seats.
ramat gan stadium will probably be for concerts and athletics
