Just to get in some more life in forum - pictures of interesting mid-rise residentials which are constructed right now. Major part of residential buildings here are compilation of concrete and glass boxes of different colours and sizes. But more and more projects are getting unusual, individual architecture though. Here - selected projects out of some several hundred projects on-going here. No renovations and reconstructions (except one) here.

13.janvara street, Old Riga - initially was planned hotel, but now - apartments. The nearer house is built, the other one - fundament works.

Laurenci in Sigulda - one house nearly completed, another u/c. Looks very cool, especially with 90 m high drop behinde the housesand breathtaking landscape! Whole district in Sigulda is getting such look.

Not only do most of those look nice, some look great :) And the variety! That's what'll make Riga 'grow', no endless repetition of the same style everywhere here!

btw- I think I know exactly where the two first are :D /It'll be interesting going back in a few years or so...

Cool buildings, nice to see much variety in the architecture and size of the buildings :) Both modern glassy facades and old-inspired classic architecture

These projects are really interesting, it´s good to see that boring typical boxes aren`t built. My favourite ones are Sokolaade, Zundas pasaza and Siguldas terases.
