actually not long ago I heard this song again and it wasnt that bad (they put it as "worst ever live performance" in a radio show, but I think Sara'le Sharon had to win worst Israeli song ever!

I think that Rita's song is the best song she ever had... and probably I'm the only one is the world that actually likes it.

And besides, I liked the old Eurovisions - when they used to bring an orchestra and each country brought its own conductor (until we ruined everything with Diva's playback music).

About Izhar Cohen being ancient - you should see what happens when they play this song in Eurovision parties in Pop Ring (ages 14-20).
Some of the kids that go there were born after this song was released, and they still sing and dance to it (with the clapping after the "Ole Ole").

Probably before your time. The Israel Eurovision finals were at Binyanai HaUmah in Jerusalem. That was the name of the winning song Israel sent to the Eurovision competition. I forget where it was held that year.
