Što se tiče stadiona, mislim da ovo baš i nije prioritet. Sadašnji stadion je u redu, samo malo treba neke stvari srediti, ali za to je bilo dovoljno 100.000 maraka, a ne sad da se radi novi projekat.

Maksimir je dobar primer onoga sto sam naveo u predhodnom postu, nikada zavrsena rekonstrukcija, demagoski projekat i zaludno trosenje para.
Rekonstrukcija sama po sebi nije losa (sem mozda fasade), ali secajuci se renderingsa stadion je jos uvek daleko od gotovog (mada mnogo blize od zvezdinog ili partizanovog). i sada stoji ovako nedovrsen. Zagreb je imao ambicije da organizuje finale jednog od evro-kupova, ali za sada je to nerealno (o Bg-u i da ne govorimo). Zato se iskreno nadam da i Sarajevo nije "patka".
Najbolji stadion u ex-yu je Poljud. Meni najdrazi, s druge strane je Marakana.

The 10 mil. is probably the price of the first phase, which is adding the second level to east stands, adding store fronts and office space underneath, and maybe (upgrading the scoreboard? and roof over the east stands?) The minimum required by UEFA. After that work on the rest as money need arise. The only work that was done in the last five years has been the addition of plastic seats and card access for gates (if it works?) :)

Because they are also running the special Olympics in 2009 and a few months ago on the site of the Olympics they said that Sarajevo would be a good contender to enter for the Olympics in 2018.

The work on the Olympic stadium isn’t probably because of the Special Olympics, but because it needs work.

So, the Sarajevo Olympic Stadium is getting a second tier, huh? That new tier should put the stadium's capacity above 50,000.

I remember having seen at least one additional design proposal for this. In either case, an expansion has not happened yet.
