The Chiyoda district is the centre of Tokyo and arguably the centre of Japan
as well. This is where are located the emperor's palace, the Yasukuni shrine,
the Toranomon ministries, and the corporate headquarters of
Marunouchi. I had to attend an orientation meeting in this area for a couple of days
and I took the opportunity to take some shots of the large and small
streets at around 9am. At night, not too much is going on as the crowd
flees to their residences or to the Shinjuku/Shibuya nightlife neighbourhoods
located 10-15 minutes away by subway.

Chiyoda is crisscrossed by the Yurakucho, Marunouchi, Hanzomon, Hibiya,
and Shiyoda lines. The streets I will show are nearest to the Kojimachi station:
