Here is the second part of my two-day stay in Windsor/Detroit from last weekend. This day, sadly, was a bit overcast, so the pics may not be as good as they could be, but I did the best I could, these are of downtown, the cultural center, and Woodward Ave and around Wayne State University. I visited the Detroit Science Center that day as well, to make up for not getting to Science North in Sudbury this year! These pics were taken last Saturday, October 8.

For someone who lives outside of the Windsor area in Ontario 2.5 hrs northeast of it (and 70 km closer to Toronto), I go here A LOT and enjoy all my trips to the Motor City! WINGS fan here too (and also a SABRES fan). :)

Awesome pics! I'm surprised not many have replied to this thread

The Detroit Science Center doesn't look to have changed at all since all those elementary school field trips I went on!

Excellent photos and commentary.

To those who criticize Detroit for looking deserted or for not having very many modern buildings, let us see what happens to your city if it looses almost 1 million people in 50 years! Despite that, Detroit is starting to come back, there is a lot of restoration and some new building projects.

Detroit is an example of the negative effects of globalism. Car production was one of the first industries to go global. Other industries are following. Currently it is the IT industry is undergoing this process.

Nice pictures. Been to Detroit, but only got to go in the GM building and ride the people mover.
