You mean Ataturk is one of the best, not the best because Hong Kong International got first place as "THE BEST" while Singapore got 2nd.
Anyways I bet this Israeli airport will have the best security systems though.

One thing I like about this airport besides its beauty is the distance. It's so close to the city. Very convenient. After all Israel is a small country where everything is well connected.
After the openning of this new airport, what's up with the old one? Is it still in operation? The last time I was there, this newly opened one was still underconstruction and it seemed to me they were constructing a new 2nd terminal as the construction site is in the same property.

Stone and marble is a state of the art in Israel's architecture. So many stunning buildings made of stone. Especially in Jerusalem, all i can say is "WOW" what a city!! So beautiful. The entire city is like it's made up of stones. I am not not talking about the old city alone but the whole of Jerusalem. Very unique. From what I heard from an Israeli friend, there's a special law regarding the construction of buildings in Jerusalem.

No, i mean Athens is the BEST airport in its class. It won the award recently.

Best for its category in terms of number of passengers it handles, right?

Giorgio
October 30th, 2005, 09:28 AM
Yes thats correct. How much People does this airport handle? Israel Gets around 1.5 Million tourists a Year on average correct? So im assuming it hadnles about 3-6 Million a year (Domestic included)? That would rank it high for its category since most airports in that category arnt as modern and grand. Athens Ranks in the 2nd Category 10-20 Million a year i think. Athens gets around 18 Million Passangers a year (Greece gets 15 Million International Visitors but Most islands have there own International Airport).
