So it's more or less on hold? Any pictures of what it was/is supposed to look like?

not that I want to fight but still...

Slovenia is NOT in Eastern Europe and has never been...
- not geographically (Central Europe completely)
- not politically - Yugoslavia has never been in Eastern bloc if you forgot... Sure, It wasn't part of Western Europe, but was never part of Eastern either.

Have a nice day :)

LJ, y'know, this has been discussed numerous times and as you can see (Eastern Europe forum), nothing happened. But otherwise I agree with you.

I've seen Slovenia described in various mainstream foreign media as being a part of...

Eastern Europe
Central Europe
Southern Europe
Western Europe
Southeastern Europe
The Balkans
Alpine Europe
Mediterranean Europe

It only shows that Slovenia is in a spot where various different elements -- which make Europe what it is -- intersect. Most Slovenes forget just how amazing it is that a country this small has everything from the warm coast of the Adriatic, lined with olive groves and stone houses, to the majesty of the Alps, with their lakes, rivers, and breathtaking peaks, to the very Central European interior with lots of castles, romantic churches and picturesque hills. And, yes, I know I'm sounding like a tourist brouchure again... ;)
