Here is Valetta, the capital of the small nation of Malta in the Mediterranean. Population for the whole country is 394,583. Hmmm...having difficulty finding the population of specifically Valetta. Maybe not much of a skyline, but this is where my family is from (Malta), so I felt like having some Maltese pride! :D :D :D

I love Malta, especially Valetta. The street design is based on a grid pattern similar to Glasgow and most US and Australian cities - it was to enable one of the worlds first planned sewerage systems to be built. The skyline of Medina is also very imposing.

Maybe I should have put that bit last.....Anyway, hopefully Valetta never gets a big skyline, as it is an excellent city and on of my favourites in Europe, nice and dense although very lowrise.

I've been to Valetta and it's very dense and a great place. There is one tallish building that is quite imposing over the rest of Valetta which you can see on that picture, and alot of new developments (mainly hotels though)

my parents are both maltese, and there is probly more maltese people in Melbourne the malta itsself, jks jks.. and valetta is a beautiful place to visit, nice people, beautiful beaches, and nice streetscapes.
