kuwait international bowling center will be international destination for all bowling fans around the world , it will be the largest of it kind in the middle east and the cost will be 20 million kd , consist of 8F , 54 lane ,hotel ,swimming pole ,gym,library ,shopping facility and indoors garden , due to complete in 2008

Now this, is one impressive project! :cool:

The latest info I have is that this project will now be 11 floors. (Basement is for bowling, 4 floors retail, 7 floors hotel - each hotel room with a small private garden). The idea is to have the main building surrounded by a forest, and have a large glass structure covering everything.

this is a project that when completed will be a landmark for kuwait ..
the form of this multi-purpose building is really interesting and unconventional .. which will make people be amazed at how it will be built ..

guys i know why it got cancelled:

because the guy making the bowling thing went against the contract.

the govt wanted a bowling centre. the planner was gonna make like a hotel, mall, shops, and then a tiny small section for bowling.

the main purpose of this project was to be a BOWLING centre, not a hotel or shopping mall. thats supposed to be a side-objective. so the guy abused his contract. so contract got terminated.

blame the people folks. the ones who just want easy profit.

honestly though, the people are abusing their rights.

the govt gave him the land set on conditions:

1. your main priority is to make a bowling centre

2. side objectives are ok, but they should only contribute 30-35% of the project


its like someone building an airport with a GIGANTIC mall, 5 hotels, 6 golf courses, 1000 housing properties but only 2 jetways :lol:

وقعت شركة المدير الكويتي لإدارة المشاريع العقارية التابعة لبيت التمويل الكويتي، مع الهيئة العامة للشباب والرياضة عقد مشروع إنشاء وانجاز وصيانة نادي البولينغ بالسالمية بقيمة 12،14 مليون دينار ويعد المركز الرياضي الأكبر من نوعه على مستوى المنطقة في هذه اللعبة.

وقال المدير العام لشركة المدير الكويتي القابضة المهندس ابراهيم الصقعبي في تصريح صحافي بان المشروع يمثل خطوة مهمة في توجه الشركة نحو تنفيذ مشاريع كبرى برؤية عصرية ومواصفات عالمية، فتم اعتماد تصميم معماري مميز وفريد من نوعه، يبدو فيه النادي على شكل هرمي يكتسي بالزجاج والالومنيوم من الخارج، وحرص النادي الكويتي للبولينغ على أن يمثل هذا الصرح إضافة معمارية وهندسية وحضارية تعكس الوجه المميز للكويت وتجعل منه علامة مهمة لمنطقة السالمية، ومرفقا مهما من المرافق الرياضية للدولة.

وأضاف الصقعبي بان المشروع يقع على مساحة تزيد على 10 آلاف متر مربع ويستغرق تنفيذه نحو عامين فيما تبلغ المساحة الإجمالية للبناء حوالي 4300 متر مربع وبذلك يكون النادي الأكبر من نوعه على مستوى منطقة الخليج، ويضم 58 حارة بولينج اوليمبية الأمر الذي يتيح تنظيم بطولات عالمية في النادي متوجها بالشكر لرئيس النادي الكويتي الرياضي الشيخ طلال المحمد الصباح لما لمسه من جهود حثيثة وحرص كبير على أن يكون النادي متكامل الخدمات وان يتم التنفيذ على أعلى مستوى.

وقال إن الشركة استهدفت أن يكون النادي متكامل الخدمات ومستوفيا لجميع المتطلبات التي توفر لرواده مختلف ما يحتاجونه ويتناسب مع طبيعتهم،إذ يشتمل المبنى المكون من سرداب وأرضي وستة ادوار، غرفا وأجنحة للضيوف في حالة البطولات والزيارات الخارجية، وكافتيريا وحمامين للسباحة ومحلات تجارية للأدوات الرياضية وغرف خدمات وغيرها من المرافق المهمة التي تجعل من زيارة النادي والبقاء فيه متعة وتجربة شيقة.

ونوه الصقعبي أيضا إلى ما أنجزته الشركة من تقدم نوعي كبير من حيث التصنيف على مستوى السوق المحلي الذي توليه أهمية كبيرة، مؤكدا أن السوق الكويتي مازال يحتل الأولوية في إستراتيجية العمل رغم النجاحات التي حققتها شركة المدير الكويتي في الأسواق الخليجية خلال الفترة الماضية، بعد توسع أعمالها في البحرين وسلطنة عمان والسعودية وتنفيذ عدد من المشاريع الكبرى التي تنافست فيها مع شركــــات عالميــــة ذات خـــبرة في هذا المجال.

They actually started working, I passed by yesterday and saw a pictures on the project fence.

مشروع البولينغ يمثل طفرة إنشائية ينتهي في سبتمبر 2013




أوضحت المهندسة رشا الصايغ مراقب ادارة الانشاءات بالهيئة العامة للشباب والرياضة ان مشروع نادي البولينغ الذي بدأت أعمال التنفيذ فيه في سبتمبر 2011 ويتم الانتهاء في سبتمبر 2013 يعد طفرة انشائية غير مسبوقة بالكويت سواء في القطاع الخاص أو القطاع الحكومي مشيرة الى انه تم الاستعانة بمصمم أجنبي بالتعاون مع المصمم الكويتي في تصميم المشروع بشكل معماري مميز يواكب التطورات الحديثة، حيث تم الحرص على ان يكون المبنى بجميع ملحقاته من المباني الذكية لتوفير الجهد الكهربائي والطاقة.
وأضافت ان النادي يتمتع بالعديد من المواصفات الفريدة لكونه يقع في منطقة حيوية مميزة في السالمية، حيث تتوفر فيه كافة الامكانيات التي تحقق رسالتي الرياضية، والاجتماعية يشبع حاجات كافة افراد العائلة بما يحتويه من مطاعم وناد صحي وممشى والعديد من التجهيزات التي تلبي احتياجات العائلة.

Uh oh. I first thought the renderings looked kind of cool - very angular and modern - until I saw "Saleh Al-Qallaf" at the bottom. I have an almost confirmed feeling that this is building is going to be slathered in cheap metal cladding similar to AUK's admin buildings close by. Keeping hopes up anyway though...

Not so sure about the building's context though; it's going to look terribly out of place with all those sharp lines, especially when its neighborhood consists of that massive Aknan development and the old buildings in the immediate area. Urban planning is a make-believe concept here, but we always knew that. [[Oh look, a plot, let's slap something garish, obnoxious and parking-free here."]

Does anyone have a final rundown of what the project will contain aside from just bowling lanes?

لقد أنهيت العام الماضي تصميم أنظمة التكييف و التهوية و تهوية الحريق في مشروع نادي البولينغ في السالمية في الكويت، و بعد مرحلة اعتماد المقاولين بدأت أعمال الحفر و الإنشاء.

و كان مكتبي الحالي “مكتب صالح القلاف للإستشارات الهندسية” هو المختار لأعمال التصميم و الإشراف على التنفيذ للمشروع المذكور.

المشروع عبارة عن نادي حكومي للبولنغ يحوي في صالته الرئيسية على 48 مساراً و يحوي على صالة عائلية و مطاعم و محلات و على مقصورة للشخصيات المهمة و على مقصورة للشيوخ، كما يحوي على مسبحين و حدائق داخلية و مسرح، و في طوابقه الأخيرة غرف فندقية و مكاتب الإدارة.

كل هذا تحت سقف من الزجاج و الألمنيوم، و كان تصميم نظام التكييف لهذا المشروع ممتعاً جداً و غير اعتيادي كون الشكل الخارجي معقد و لا يتيح مجالاً لوضع معدات تكييف أو تهوية عليه و إلا تدمرت الفكرة بأكملها، و لذا عملت أقصى جهدي و الحمدلله نجحت بإخفاء كل معدات التكييف و التهوية و تهوية الحريق في المشروع.

لقد حرصت أيضاً على الحفاظ على الطاقة باعتماد أنظمة استراجاع الطاقة و اعتماد نظام التهوية حسب الطلب Demand Controlled Ventilation لضمان عدم هدر الطاقة على تكييف الهواء الجديد الداخل للمبنى بكميات كبيرة في حال عدم الحاجة لها، كما أن العزل الحراري مطابق و أفضل من متطلبات وزارة الكهرباء و الماء الكويتية. و أضافت الحدائق الداخلية في المشروع رئة تنقي الهواء و تقلل من كمية ثاني أكسيد الكربون و تنتج الأوكسجين و بالتالي قللت من كمية الهواء الجديد المكيف، و قد احتاج المشروع إلى قدرة تبريدية قدرها 1680 طن تبريدي.

و قد قمت باعتماد النوافذ القابلة للفتح بمحركات للتهوية في حالة الحريق بدلاً من المراوح و هذا لضمان عدم التأثير في الشكل الخارجي للمشروع.

ينبغي أن ينتهي العمل على المشروع في سبتمبر 2013، علماً أن النادي سيستضيف كأس العالم للبولنغ عام 2014
