Did something stupid late last night/today. Bought The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind yesterday because I used to play it on Xbox all the time. I no longer have access to an Xbox and I missed it so. I found it for just under $10 for PC and just had to have it. But that's not the stupid thing, I came home and played for nearly two hours on and off just pausing it by leaving up the display inbetween...and then eventually I was in a battle and died...without saving.

Oh....I also worked this morning, but not much to mention about it.

Got up at 9.15 am.
Had breakfast with Mike Sweeney on the radio.
Made my way out of the house and walked to the job centre.
Signed on at 10.25 am.
Went to the Council offices straight afterwards.
Left some documents with the Council Tax benefits people.
Went to do my shopping around 11.45am.
Went to the market to get two birthday cards for the next two Birthdays (Mum and niece) in November.
Then went to Asda and Tesco's to do my food shopping.
Completed it around 1.15pm, amazingly dodging two incredible torrential downpours in the process (one was so loud whilst I was in Tescos it sounded like sheet metal being rattled).
Walked home with two bags of shopping.
Arrived home at 1.30pm.
Made some lunch around 2pm.
Ate my lunch 20 minutes later whilst watching about five minutes of Loose Women on ITV before going upstairs to my noiseroom.
Switched on computer to check my emails.
Got a phone message from Ann Coffey's representative re: fireworks issue.
Returned the call and spoke to her representative.
Went back to my emails.
Then onto the message boards.
More downpours rattled outside but what did I care?
Back to the messageboards.
Did some back ups of my files.
5pm went downstairs to make some more food.
Returned to the computer.
Back to the messageboards.
Went downstairs at 8.15pm to watch a bit of Mastermind, laughing at the young Tory toff as he answered questions on his specialist subject of Pink Floyd.
Went to make my tea straight afterwards.
Ate that whilst watching a bit of the news.
Back upstairs to the noiseroom.

And here I am right now......

God, this is exciting stuff innit? FUCKING RIVETTING MAAAAN!!!

As it's the morning, this is my yesterday.

Watched "Will and Grace". Never liked this, but it's amazing how lots more time and not wanting to do other stuff can make a person appreciate stuff!

Checked emails

Looked for jobs on internet (I recently quit a job I hated. This was great at the time, but now I need the cash and getting work always takes longer than you think. A slow HR department alone can add a month)

Went swimming

Lunch (with Neigbours and a few mins of Loose Wimmin on telly! aaaaarrrgh)

More job search, online applications bah. Looked at message boards and ranted about the futility of war. Posted about Crystal Palace park regeneration which I found out about at the exhibition that is currently being run in the park. I live right next door.

Went shopping for fruit and veg at "Fresh and Fruity". You gotta love that name!

Went to Ladywell track for speed session with my club. That's speed as in increasing running pace and not the hard core drug game. God I'm fit!

Dinner cooked by er in doors. :D She's a marvel!

Who said I watched it (as in paid attention to what was being wittered) at all like, stoopido?? I "watch" about an HOUR of TV a week - that is fact - most of that hour is spent aimlessly flicking channels and then having some totally random programme or other (see also the Weakest Link/Mastermind/Question Time etc) on in the background whilst I have my tea or make it. I'm not even paying attention to it to be honest with you - it's just background noise. Yesterday it just so happened that Loose Women was on the TV when I switched it on, but I'm not gonna just flick over cos of that reason, I'm too busy stuffing my face anyway.....fnarr fnarr fnarr..... I mean, it's 3.45 now and Loose Women must have been on and gone but I haven't had the TV on at all today, cos I have my lunch/tea/breakfast/supper/midnightfeast all at varying times of the day anyway.... :tongue2:

Got train to work. Had to ask someone to turn his walkman down. It's now a daily thing, half the people on the train have an ipod or walkman or listen to music on their phone. About a quarter of those using headphones on the train do so selfishly, with cheap hissy noise leaking out and polluting my peace. I "listen" to music in my head, my own music I like to hear, and the one thing that ruins that is some twat with his walkman on too loud, it just drowns my own music out. This particular prick was one of those who can't respond properly to a polite request, and blanked me. He turned it down a bit when I gave him a follow-up glare. I thought about how worthless and shallow and shite humankind is.

Got into work. Had an annoying E-mail from someone who has involved my boss in something that is my business and that my boss should not be involved in. I E-mail him to tell him to fucking stop it. He phones me up to apologise. I lie and say it is fine. It's not fine. I E-mail my boss and tell him how fucking annoyed I am that he is being put on the spot and asked to intervene by a trouble-making prick. I don't use those words, but it's the meaning. Of course, he loves being put on the spot in that way, loves any opportunity to undermine me, and my E-mail is just a cowardly attack on him for constantly undermining me.

People who are supposed to work for me won't and don't and can't and in the end I ask one person to come into a quiet room to talk about it. She tells me she can't be fucking bothered, in as many words. She is too busy internet shopping and chatting to her friends on her mobile. I wuss out and say "yes, I understand, you are too pressured" and seethe and do the things myself that she was supposed to do for me.

So I am running around, frantic, sending off 10 E-Mails a minute, barking at people on the 'phone, being a nutter, trying to get the job done. I log on to here, as a bit of respite, it's just on in the background. I imagine some cunt in IT simulateneously logging every page impression. "And then, at 15.23.36, he made the 24th improper use of the system of the day, in refreshing the page of an internet site called skyscrapercity.com and typed the word cunt and deleted it and then logged out."

I skived off early, and found for a reason I can't even imagine that every single person on my train was deformed in some way and I kept trying to find a seat that wasn't putting me within eye contact of a deformed person but I couldn't manage it. I squeezed my eyes shut and pretended I could not see, but I was so tense they kept bursting open and in glary, darty fashion, alarming the deformed person opposite. Not sure what the deformity was precisley, just a form of undue ugliness. Most unsatisfactory. I changed trains just to get away from them. The next train had more normal looking people on it.

Got home and examined the damage the rain has done to the spare bedroom wall. The wallpaper has blistered quite nicely. Although it's an outrage, I quite like it, it's got an agreeably damp smell to it, an air of decay.

I play my sky travel 'round the world in two minutes' weather programme music several hundred times on repeat, and plot my next moves against my boss in my head. They are complex and nasty thoughts. They would be dark thoughts, but he is not worth it. Just nasty is enough for him.
