The next stage of the consultation is under way. This link gives you all the information at the exhibition.

I went to this and I must say I was very impressed. There were many concerned locals. I overheard a member of the 'Sydenham Society' saying that the Sydenham Society were very against the proposals as she walked into the exhibition. A rumour had got out about the sale of parkland to fund the regeneration and a campaign had already been started to stop the plans before they had even been seen! Some land owned by the park will be sold. Only a very small amount of this is currently open to the public. Most of the land suggested for sale is 1/3 of the current campsite. The rest of the campsite will be added to the park. My main concern is the qualitiy of the architecture. There will be a competition for the sports complex, but the rest is unclear.

Anyway there is an option to have your views heard on the website.

Here is the overall plan

Controvercial construction at the North West

Rockhills gate. This is where the campsite is currently and where originally Paxton had a house and garden.

yes i saw this ages ago....my two cents... for the indoor centre....rather have a separate aquatic centre...with the pool between two other indoor halls so that if need be the two adjacent halls can be opened up and allow for more seating to host larger aquatic events....http://www.lda.gov.uk/upload/img/study_c2.jpg

I don't think there will be a need to increase capacity for large aquatic events as this will no longer be London's main venue. Any major events held in London will presumably go the the Olympic Aquatic Centre.
