Today I went to visit my grandma at the Woodland Cemetery and thought it would be a perfect opportunity to show Hamilton from across the Hamilton.

Now here's the freaky part lol. Just when I said to myself wow what a great view of Hamilton I turned around and saw "MUNRO" and my chin literally just dropped off lol.

^ That's John C Munro grave site! That's me in the reflection

He’s a former MP for Hamilton East and was a cabinet minister under Pierre Trudeau government. He tried to run for Liberal leader but John Turner beat him. We have our airport named after him and our new federal office building is also named after him. When he resigned Sheila Copps replaced him.

One of my high school buddies was Munro's son, Richard, so I actually got to know Munro pretty good. I helped him out run for Mayor back in 2000 but he lost that election. One time he paid a ticket for me to go and see a Ti Cat game at Ivor Wynne stadium during the Labour Day Classic but I had to hand out election pamphlet for Munro lol.

I just think it's cool that Munro has a spot where he'll always be able to overlook Hamilton throughout its future.

Check out the cemetery

Very nicely done, you can get great views of that city from just about anywhere. You actually met the late John C. Munro, Steeltown, that is so cool.

A westbound VIA train for Niagra Falls passes through Bayview with the Hamilton skyline in the background

Er I'm not liking that picture above lol. Via pisses me off so much lol. They whip on through this city yet don’t even make a stop at Hamilton, even though we're top 10 biggest cities in Canada.

I always thought it would be cool if CH put up a tower camera over at the Woodland Cemetery so they can give live shots of Hamilton across the Harbour.

As always good job Taha.
