View Full Version : "Guelph in Autumn" Photos--- looks like Toronto, doesn't it? thryve October 30th, 2005, 03:54 AM http://files.photojerk.com/andrewshmarv/guelphlookslikeTO23.JPG xzmattzx October 30th, 2005, 04:44 PM looks nice. i'm surprised people haven't been showing off pictures of the foliage so far. it's good to finally see some. i myself am working on autumn pictures in wilmington and other places in delaware. when are these pictures from? i see quite a lot of green. i would think that most of the leaves would've changed color and fallen off by now. down here, the leaves are usually at their brightest at around october 20, give or take a few days. this year, it's almost november and several trees haven't even started changing color yet. Jaybird October 31st, 2005, 04:49 AM Looks more like Owen Sound, but very nice. thryve October 31st, 2005, 10:14 PM like owen sound? have you been to guelph? softee November 1st, 2005, 01:47 AM Nice pics, but I don't find there's anything particularly 'Torontoesque' about them. I really do like Guelph though, do you have more pics? thryve November 1st, 2005, 03:45 AM I have more, but I can't post any more at this time. anyways, I obviosuly should have never put the Toronto bit in the title... you would have to be there to understand what I mean... vid November 1st, 2005, 04:34 AM " looks like Toronto, doesn't it?" Yeah, and I can think of hundreds of places in Thunder Bay that look like that, too. It's a tree lined neighbourhood. And a very nice on at that. Guelph is a cool little city. nice and neat looking. I could see myself living ther. Jaybird November 1st, 2005, 03:38 PM Yeah, I have been to Guelph, although it was on a bus, never stepped outside to look at the city. But Guelph looks like a very nice city. In fact a guy from Kitchener told me if I am looking to take pictures of an Ontario town for architecture downtown, Guelph is a PLACE and I can agree. thryve November 2nd, 2005, 02:51 AM " looks like Toronto, doesn't it?" I could see myself living ther. no, but you just missed what i was saying... i never said it looks like toronto in these pictures alone, and i don't say that because it's a tree lined street... oh well Spoonman November 2nd, 2005, 08:34 AM I'm from Guelph, and "Toronto" is certainly the last thing I think about when I'm driving through town. thryve November 2nd, 2005, 10:33 PM Wow.. more positivity from the Ontario forumers! Spoonman November 4th, 2005, 07:53 PM Wow.. more positivity from the Ontario forumers! This has nothing to do with positivity or negativity, merely fact. I'm just saying that I don't see the resemblance at all, especially since when I'm at home in Guelph visiting my parents one day and then studying in Toronto the next, I find the contrast very striking. But maybe there are some subtleties that I've missed, if you care to point them out (and I'm not being facetious here; I'm honestly curious) worldwide November 5th, 2005, 12:12 AM every forum has negativity, cause of the ability to hide behind the internet. i have seen some downright nasty forums. woot woot thryve November 5th, 2005, 12:31 AM This has nothing to do with positivity or negativity, merely fact. Thanks for understanding my frustration, which in itself was rather unreasonable. |
